Why not just.. shoot him?
Monster
why shoot him
what are the charges?
Because it'd just prove him right
Do it, user. I dare you.
If you kill a killer, the number of killers in the world remains unchanged
Because you will be exactly like him
not if you were already a killer, you dummy
but if you kill two killers it's net -1 killers, the trick is to not stop at one.
you would become a Monster yourself.
Why not just... shoot him in the leg?
the mc is a doctor so unlike retards like you he knows what a femoral artery is.
Hold on, I thought we were all shitposting here.
I watched this during quarantine and really enjoyed it. Zig Forums recommendations been on point lately.
Its the pride of both characters
How far are you willing to prove your point
I he did shot him on sight all the people that looked down on him will prove him right
What's a femoral artery?
I barely remember this anime, but I thought the themes were pretty obvious. It's something like Tenma believes all humans deserve to live, no matter what, while Johan doubts that Tenma actually believes this. His mission is to make his own death such an obviously desirable outcome to see if Tenma will give up his fake principles and just kill him, which would confirm his own nihilistic worldview. The entire anime is about this dilemma, basically idealism vs nihilism
Shooting people in the leg isn't a practical thing to do, there's a reason police doesn't do it. There's a very high chance they'll either bleed to death, or continue moving just fine
Okay I can't tell who's serious anymore. The fact that shooting someone in the leg isn't practical was the whole joke behind my post. I thought everybody else was giving joke answers, but apparently, this is a serious thread?
Why not just... shoot him in the dong?
Why should anyone assume you were making a joke? You see people seriously asking those things everywhere.
killing isn't wrong, murder is.
>By killing a remorseless mass murderer/cultist, I thus become just as bad as him
Yeah makes sense user
because stories are not about utilitarian ethics but instead battles of moral ethics in a quasi religious space
All humans are some kind of consequentialist deep down, it's just that pretending you have deontological principles is the consequentialist thing to do
The real Monster was the friends we met along the way
Because that's what I thought everyone else was doing? Repeating stupid shit that people seriously say everywhere, like
>what are the charges?
>Because you will be exactly like him
or even the OP
>Why not just... shoot him?
I never got this show. You have a serial killer running around killing people, sure, he's not directly killing them and you could argue that he's just pushing them over the edge, but regardless if you can change him or not, you have to stop him right there and now if you don't want more innocent people dying.
Johan has some kind of gift that allows him to detect what a person's trauma is and is able to trigger it through word suggestion or other means, basically like a walking MK Ultra, but nobody can really tie the crimes with his doing and the entire anime is him imploring to be caught by Tenma by laying out clues all over the place.
I wish one of these
>if you kill this unambiguously evil villain to save others, you become just like them
stories would end with the MC losing everyone he ever cared about, regretting all of his discussions and turning into alcoholic hobo that drowns in 2 inches of water after falling into a ditch one cold night.
I mean the responses are clearly jokes, but I didn't know OP's question was as I haven't seen anyone joke about it before. And I thought your post was another one from the OP. But yeah I'm just autistic probably
It's not about "becoming just like them", it's about showing the villain (and yourself) that the world isn't as dull and transactional as they've grown to believe. People can still care about you and value your existence even if it seems irrational and at a great personal cost to them.
