I just finished rewatching Gundam seed, and it was still amazing. It had 2-3 flaws in it, but overall it was a solid 9/10 action-adventure/war drama anime, with a great cast, memorable battles, amazing ost, amazing villain, and one of the best final battles in anime.

To this day I cannot fathom why so many people like SEED. To this day I cannot fathom of why SEED of all things saved the franchise in nipland.
Its genuinely the worst anime I've ever watched.

>/m/ isn't giving me any replies, time to shitpost on Zig Forums

I agree. Definitely one of my favorites in the franchise.

/m/ is a bunch of faggots with shit taste.

well yeah they like mecha anime

true

Fuck Fray.

It's sad how there will never be a female character as good as Flay in this franchise

It's my favorite Gundam series, bar none. It had many flaws, and a LOT of reused animation. But I love it to bits. It wasn't even my first Gundam. But it has some fantastic battles. Freedom's debut battle is amazing. Freedom VS Forbidden+Raider+Callamity was also amazing. Final battle against Providence? Masterpiece. No other Gundam has ever had such a great final battle.

For me the best battle scenes were:
>Strike vs Duel in the atmosphere
>Kira vs Andrew
>Kira killing Nicol
>Kira vs Athrun
>Freedom's debut
>Athrun saving Kira in Justice
>The entire segment with them escaping when akatsuki to kuruma is playing (best secene in seed)
>Them taking out the nukes
>Dominion vs Archangel was the most emotional and hard hitting battle in Gundam
>Yzak getting 3 absolutely badass moments in the row in the finale
>And Rau vs Kira
That's not to mention the great character moments.

I was rewatching it until I got into Flay episode and dropped it again.
It's been 3 times like this.

Yes, I too loved watching Nicol throw himself onto Kira's sword every episode to be reminded that he can do no wrong.

That’s the idea once Kira kills all the Coordinators.

And despite that, Flay is the most complex female character in Seed, with a great arc, and a good moment of redemption.

I do need to remind you, that Kira not only was not Jesus Yamato in Seed, but he actually failed a lot, and was having a hard time being useful against anyone who isn't stock footage army of Ginn's.

Being the most complex character in seed isn't exactly the hardest thing to do

Examples?

I just speed watch the beginning cause it was supposed to be stupid angsty drama
it gets cuter once Flay also fell for Kira but Kira can't stand her anymore

>Fantastic battles
Until Kira gets the freedom.

Is the sequel any good?

Absolutely not. They literally failed at every single thing they tried to do.

Sequel so good they had to put Kira back in as MC for the second half.

No.

Destiny sucks ass.

For like 15(?) iirc episodes its ok, things really go off the rails though

I found it mediocre, just avoid Destiny since that's goddamn horrible.

Things were pretty bad already in those first eps.

>Is the sequel any good?
It retroactively dismantled what was good about SEED. If you told me someone in the production hated SEED and wanted it destroyed by making a sequel that invalidated it, I would have believed you.

ok I'll do it.

Seed had its moments user, Destiny is where shit hits the fan. Seed's music is also golden and to this date, it probably has the best score in the franchise.

Seed Destiny is absolute garbage, so much that everyone and their grandmother took the SRWZ incarnation of Destiny as the canon story instead, especially Suzumura himself. To be fair, SRWZ's Destiny is so good that I can safely say it's the best non-canon gundam storyline ever, they fixed everything that's wrong with the canon story and retained Shinn as the central protag.
Seed's director and his wife were absolutely incensed by how the SRW team tackled their story tho.
