They killed each other off.

when was it "alive"?
it's just a niche thing you see here and there, it was never a fad.
If i had to pinpoint anything, I'd say Mirai Nikki was so shit that no one wants to associate with it even indirectly

Cause it sucked.

There was a while where a lot of harem series would include a yandere, only to play it for laughs.

it was never all that popular and it was already dead for years by the time it became a normalfag meme.

it was never really a massive thing. it only seemed like it cause western teens wouldn't shut the fuck up about that bitch from mirai nikki. retards also lump yangires with them too.

This. The trope of women being dangerous is only interesting so long as you can maintain the illusion that whoever they are scaring is completely incapable of defending themselves.
Once they start defening themselves, the yandere just becomes any other antagonist and stops being interesting

Its really hard to string the yandere thing out without making it get boring.

>antagonist
a woman that isn't prepared to murder you to be together isn't truly in love.

Just make her the main girl and the antagonist at the same time.

wut. wasnt there a yandere show literally last season

>illusion that whoever they are scaring is completely incapable of defending themselves
They tried to get around that by making Yanderes tactical geniuses with superhuman reflexes playing 4D chess, which made it even worse

Koharu no Hibi already perfected it.

normies came in and now they only want bores like Komisan and the Tonikaku girl.

>which made it even worse
Thats my point. its really hard to drag the yandere thing out in the story without overplaying every angle.
Eventually, somehow someone has to fucking fight back or else the story cant advance

Battle Royale Yandere Harem series when?

what show?

Happy sugar life something something

Because femdom is gay

>Happy sugar life
>last season
It was aired more than 2 years ago user.

It didn't die, it's hiding in the shadows until it can jump out and kidnap us.

White was a best.

The List got updated this week.

>hoping he was a male yandere
>turns out he's just your usual dimestore psycho

Cutthroat bros, I'm kinda disappoint.

Yandere is the worst take on femdom to ever exist

Fuck i'm getting old, didn't even notice

I'd say mc's who can't protect themselves, or talk to girl like human, make things worse, dude who pisses himself and tries to run the moment yandere looks at him, making her attack everyone around him, is annoying more anything, i actually can't understand how people enjoy it (if anyone even does), i remember only one manga that tried this angle and it sucked so hard scan group gave up and skipped 30-40 chapters literally till the ending.

Yandere has nothing to do with femdom, nothing.
A lot of people mix them both but when you think about it there couldn't be anything further to yandere than femdom.
In femdom the female is supposed to be:
>independant
>mischevious
>strong willed
>has a world outside the mc/male
In yandere she is supposed to be:
>dependant on the mc
>submissive towards the mc
>overly jealous
>can become violent but only towards girls trying to get near the mc, never towards the mc

Some anime try to mix those two but it always end up with the girl having some dere side or shit like that. In anime true femdom female are played as one trop characters for comic relief because otaku tend to hate those.

Speaking of BR
Couldn't Mitsuko be classified as a kind of yandere for her dad, at least the manga version

yandere ≠ femdom
the real core of a yandere character is that he/she is in love with a certain person to the point it becomes a destructive and psychotic obsession.
And for some reason even to this day some fucks still can't differentiate yangire, femdom, and yandere.

still turned out great.

>never towards the mc
unless theres no other way

>implying it did

As opposed to all other romcoom tropes that are still alive?

>unless theres no other way
Nah even when they have to they usually use drug so that he doesn't feel anything or kill him painlessly.
They never use violence as a mean of punition only sequestration for the most borderline.
