It's tough to say, but Ishuzoku Reviewers might've legit been the most fun I've had with an anime this year.
There's some other strong series like Kaguya S2, Kakushigoto, Deca-dence, Baki S4, Akudama Drive, Eizouken ni wa Te wo Dasu na!, Jujutsu Kaisen, and Great Pretender as well. There's a few others I'd call 8+ anime, but those are most of them including a few rare 9s.
It could have been a lot worse.

this, usually I avoid ecchi stuff, but Ishuzoku was a lot of fun to be had, I actually enjoyed seeing more of the world and you start to look forward what kind of weird niche fetish brothel they check out next, good stuff

Is this where you bust out the word pretentious and act like there's better choices than something fun, imaginative, funny and exhilarating that came out of left field? eizouken did it's own thing earnestly and earned it's popularity the hard way, without traditionally cute anime girl designs, bouncing breasts or traditional japanese story tropes.
i'll even give credit to interspecies reviewers as one of the best of 2020, in spite of the global outrage and censorship. the difference between it and eizouken was that speaking to my daydreaming self as well as my inner child trumps whatever my cock thinks. (episode 5 bro, meat vagina, jfc. and ep 1 showing butthole, wew. BUT STILL)

so let me ask what shows this year deserved the laurels heaped onto them.i don't really pay attentiion to trends, and was going to skip eizoukan because of this ANN article painting it as SJW friendly. what happened was 2 friends of mine rebuffed the article and told me to decide for myself. regarding reviewers, it's so outrageously lewd that you should watch all of it. just to say you watched a legitimate borderline porn that got broadcast on national television in japan.

this. did not get the hype at all. it felt like a prototype or a tech demo. went absolutely nowhere. i've seen 5 minute anime shorts more satisfying than that shit. it also looked really mediocre coming from studio colorido.

my top 5 this year are: eizouken, reviewers, burn, teibous and sleepy princesses. i'd like to think my tastes are pretty varied.

Yeah but I think the difference is that Sorayori was recognized as one of the best international shows and Eizouken was both chosen as one of the best shows of 2020 and one of the best international shows? I could be wrong though
