Do you really want clamp touch it at this point? Modern clamp will just shoehorn fucking tsubasa or wish crossover or something and will make it the main part of the plot.

The worst thing here is that I had the artbook with the last chapters that ends with Fumma nearly stabbing Kamui and not even finishing the sentence he starts, and the very last pages of the artbook is just some shitty gag about how they got teleported into Yuko's shop right before the stabbing and they just fight because xD crossovers!!1! Give it up, we'll never know how it was meant to end.

Other than xxxHolic what other manga did they shoehorn Tsubasa into? People kept saying they'd do it with Clear Card but that has yet to happen. The characters from Tsubasa showed up in the Kobato anime iirc but that didn't happen in the manga.

The manga was pushing the limit of what the magazine deemed acceptable (as it was in a shoujo magazine) and any time some disaster happened they'd put it on hiatus. And Clamp eventually just stopped making it. They said like 15 years ago that they were looking for a magazine to finish it in but nothing came of that. I feel like they'd be able to do it today. And it would probably be less of an issue if they moved it to a seinen magazine to end it.

There's an interview with CLAMP where they say each hiatus was right after natural disasters or gruesome events like murders. Because of scenes that could remind fans of these events they went through the editors and CLAMP decided to put the manga on a hiatus until the audience could be ready for the ending. It makes me guess the rest of the manga was supposed to be at least just as violent as the rest, or even more, and we're not getting a happy ending.

I wonder if that stills holds up now. I'm pretty sure there are many exceptions in many magazines, for example I wasn't expecting some of the more recent scenes in Black Butler because it's from a shonen magazine, yet it's sometimes as violent and edgy as X can be in some scenes. And I'm not talking about the fight scenes but about Ciel and his brother's kidnappin and gang rape, and the maids in that one noble's manor being seduced and kidnapped, with an unecessary sex scene.

The only thing I remember about this series was that finding a torrent for the TV series was absolutely hell due to its name.

Clamp lost its mojo. They are unable to make something good that’s why they go on hiatus every single time they make a new manga.

I don't know but I'm not getting my hopes up for anything by CLAMP nowadays, I just want X to have a proper conclusion and then move on. Too many manga I liked when I was a teenager are still not over and it's frustrating.

Japan doesn't have murders.

It's rare but when they happen they're all over the news so apparently that's why some readers found some of the decapitation scenes very upsetting.

I'd make the ending tragic somehow, but given how the last chapters are I feel like that's what the og ending was already meant to be.

Fuuma and Kamui kill each other in the final battle. The world dies with them.
