Why are there so many threads about this? Yes, 2D is superior, but you have to realize that Wit rejected the project and Mappa decided on CG titans for the same reason.

You as a customer see something you like in the trailer and buy a subscription to some anime watching site and then you get served dogshit, it's not like it's a different scene that has CGI, it's something they explicitly showed you looked good that you had every reason to believe would be part of the show, instead they lie in your face and are somehow getting away with it.
Fuck off. The CGI moves quickly enough to not be jarring and it worked fine. People act like a little CGI showing is the end of the earth.

Excluding stills, all of the titans were CGI, alongside the vehicles. That hardly qualifies as "a little".

They literally drew 2D of those scenes already. They could have used 2D for this whole episode and then use 3D for the next ones instead of making themselves even more work by animating those scenes again but with 3D titans.
