It is literally the second big series from Gagaga Bunko after Oregairu though. Even Oregairu only started become popular after the anime and let's not forget that the good part of Oregairu didn't start until volume 6 or so.
I think Oregairu is more generic than this. It has silly romcom anime tropes like "cute trap gay boy", "chuuni guy", and so on. The relationship in Oregairu is also predictable as fuck. Also, while both series give commentary on social relationship, Tomozaki took it to another level and doesn't shy away from talking about more mature thing like sex, predatory behavior in game community and so on.

In volume 8 Tomozaki decided he want to come to a local offline meeting, there he met an older girl whose hobby is preying on big names personalities in the community like popular streamer/youtuber. Since Tomozaki revealed thay he's Nanashi, she tried to seduce him despite he's still a minor.
Aside from that, it also talks about broken family, death of family member, bullying and so on. It definitely explores more area that Oregairu has been lacking of.
