Dr.Stone is for smart people. Let me explain. The scientific processes are reality accomplished with supernatural odds. This is something the average midwit cannot comprehend. To them, it's either one or the other. They cannot fathom or differentiate the two in a story using both. Once the midwit comes to this realization he can do nothing but feel anger.
What other smart series sends Zig Forumsnons into a fit of rage?

Based StoneChad. I dropped the series because my IQ wasn't worthy of it
He should have wrote the title in hieroglyphs so the masses couldn't even speak about it
A-Anyways the music was really nice.

Season 2 starts Jan 14th
I've been more hyped for season 2 of Dr.Stone than I have been hyped about the final SNK season even though I like the Marley Arc was more than the Stone Wars part.
Probably because stone had been postponed. It should've aired last summer.
This is bait.
Then why are you angry?
Makes senses, MAPPA is doing a shit job with SnK
>season 2 won't cover treasure island
Imo it's the best arc.
dr stone WAS good, but ever since they reached America the pacing has been very bad
Excited for best girl
It is not for smart people, OP
Does it have an educational aesthetic?
Yes.
Does it occasionally delve into real science?
Yes.
The fact of the matter is that it's very surface level, though. It wears science as a piece of dressing, and that's not bad, but that doesn't make you a big brain science boy for watching it.
I like it, but I think it's real purpose is to inspire teenagers. Much like how Indiana Jones sparked the passion of a bunch of future archaeologists, I can see a kiddo in school reading Dr. Stone and feeling more drawn to STEM because of it.
I hope they get to the impact zone soon and learn new things. The pursuit so far has been meh and I don't really care about the burger villains except for Xeno.
You got one thing right, it's made to inspire teenagers. It teaches teenagers the advantages of the scientific way of thinking, enlightenment triumphing over barbarism. It also portrays the scientific method completely true to reality, something a retard like you that never got an A in STEM courses at school is incapable of understanding or appreciating.
Stanley is too strong to get taken out in a single arc
why does he draw all pecs like that..disgusting
>to inspire
That is correct. In an interview Inagaki mentioned how he wanted to make a scientist hero look cool. The kind of character that explains things in a fascinating way.
However saying it's not for smart people would be flawed. I'm not speaking about academics in particular. The kind of smart people that can appreciate a semi-grounded story and can pick apart which factors were intentionally fantastical for the sake of the story.
Every fighter is absolutely shredded. Same way all pretty girls are pinups

Dr Stone is genuinely awesome in how it handles its themes about science, but the characters are terrible. Every single one is entirely one dimensional besides senju, tsukasa, and xeno.
How is Kohaku one dimensional?
All there is to kohaku's character is
>strong fighter
>gorilla gag
>admires persistence
She hasn't changed at all since she was introduced and she doesn't have a layered character or anything like that.
That would be wrong. During the infiltration on treasure island she took interest in the science of shampoo and even admitted the dress that was chosen for her is nice. Yet at that moment she was still unaware of the fact people wear different clothes for different occassions, which is why she lost against Kirisame. However this wasn't simply forgotten as she casually slipped in a smoking dress during the casino chapters. She learned the value of formal attire.
Not to mention her reinventing phonetic language which shows she's not dumb by any means.
Did they get to the moon yet?
They're going to South America to check out ground 0
I'm hoping for original scenes
I hope they flesh out the supporting cast more in the future, because so many of them have nothing else revealed about them except a few skills and a single personality trait. Then they do nothing except react to MC's inventions or narrate arc after arc. Perhaps this is all done on purpose, and more of those characters will be revealed once the civilization starts getting revived back to its former size.
Which is peobably why they've been left in corn city. Nikki already showed a lot of progress. Note this was the once bullied maiden who is now pretty much an ambassador utilizing the English language she learned from Lillian's songs. Not to mention her sharpened deductivve reasoning. A big step up since her introduction.
she's into bondage
inspiring kids to enter STEM fields and being for smart people are different things.
the cliche movie hacker man that shreds on the keyboard and makes computers explode can inspire kids to be programmers, but it's not a trope you would put in a film for smart people.
