No, you don't kill on a whim, that's not Kira way.

He could've made a calculated decision as to who to kill to test the notebook.

>No, you don't kill on a whim, that's not Kira way.
Maybe you should go back and rewatch Kira's first encounter with L. And surely they haven't killed every single human being in prison on the planet at this point. Also he could have just done the old scrap of the death note in the watch trick instead of leaving it somewhere other people could potentially access. Basically, for this to happen, everybody got complacent and stupid.

if you remember your swimming lessons Light did indeed have a scrap of paper with him.

No he could not, because Near used the note to control his actions and guarantee victory.

This

Let's flip the script. You find the Death Note. Your goal is to keep it AWAY from anyone, you can't destroy it, you're a pussy who fell for the fake rules. Say you're heroic enough to risk Ryuk's wrath by being boring and not kill anyone with it.

How do you hide it away?

Put it in a stone box, charter a boat over mariana trench and drop it overboard

Curl it, put some extra durable tape so it maintains it's shape, and then shove it all the way down my rectum.

I believe you can rent room on space onboard space rockets when they send up commercial satellites and have a package sent to space, I'm sure they wouldn't have a problem with your notebook.
let that thing float through the void of the solar system until it burns up in the suns merciless wrath or from air friction upon re-entry.

This is much more obvious in the manga.

Is this madara uchiha?

No.

>let that thing float through the void of the solar system until it burns up in the suns merciless wrath or from air friction upon re-entry.

Gotta be mindful of the fake rules. Which I think might be relevant depending on how literal you take L's whole schtick about how he and Watari members are monsters.

it could end up floating in space for a very looooooong time.
space is pretty big.

>keeps part of the notebook in his watch and no one knew about it until the very last chapters of the entire story
>tells Takeda to take pages of the notebook and no one knew about it
>"Mikami I need you to make a fake notebook that looks exactly like the real one"

Mikami I know this is gonna sound weird but I need you to tear a page off the notebook and wedge it deep in between your ass cheeks until the big day

Honestly, anything after L is an asspull after asspull. I can’t stand N that autistic faggot

>only Matsuda figured it out
He's the smartest of the police, no one can say otherwise

this is actually what happened in the manga? that sounds lame af the entire goal of L and later N was to catch kira fair and square with hard evidence. not manipulating a guy before he dies of a heart attack with the notebook wtf. not to mention this would also damn near to existence in purgatory after he dies, talk about a hollow victory.

And also the cutest after Light's dad dies.

It's not explicitly stated but I like it simply because playing dirty like that makes N less of an L clone

>the entire goal of L and later N was to catch kira fair and square with hard evidence
Are you kidding?
Did you skip the part where L use a criminal he knows is going to die as bait to lure Kira out?

want to watch anime forever in peace? join our space crew. we'll have a room for you.

just be with us.

L even goes as far as abducting and sequestrating Misa, don't know if he had a warrant to watch on Light, but it would suprise me if he didn't.
He didn't agree with the more extreme methods of Mello but in the end he didn't mind being helped by him.

I use it as normal notebook and cautiously fill it with inane information. Then I put a cover over it so the rules pages aren't seen when someone opens the notebook. Then i put it among other dozens of normal notebooks filled with useless information just like this one. Then I just hide it in the basement of my house. I will just say to my family these notebooks are very important to me so when I die of old age they don't just give away them. Hopefully 300 years from now it's taken to a museum where they will ensure nobody ever damages it.

It's not it's just retarded headcanon that makes no sense

Or checked it the same way he did with the fake one, or kept pieces of it with him at all times like Light did so he didn't have to go to the bank to kill Takada

what a retarded ending. wtf were they thinking
