I mean an anime that doesn't just use Christian aesthetics but also directly draws on Christian themes, symbols, and allegories.
I think it could be cool. If effort and care was put into it I think it might actually be quite great. So much modern Christian "art" is shitty and badly done but you know the Japs wouldn't half-ass it. Think the anime equivalent of The Prince Of Egypt.

Virtually every story in history is based off of religious text or storys from a regions religion. You would be hard pressed to find a single story thats not based off of religion in some regard outside of maybe a few scifi stories. It just happens that Christianity ironically has the deepest and most extensive lore.
