If you really think about it, Fire Punch and Chainsawman both deal with the theme of self identity and control, with vastly different outcomes.
In Fire Punch, one of Agni's greatest struggles is his lack of control over his own identity, and he always eventually does what he's told. This is really evident in the Togeta arcs, where Togeta just completely controls what he does and he tries but fails to refuse to go along with whatever crazy shit she does. It's to such an extent that he even can't kill himself no matter how much he wants to, because his sister told him to LIVE.
In Chainsawman, Denji starts kind of in the same spot, a complete lack of control over his own life. But with the help of Pochita, Kishibe, Power, and everyone else, He discovers what he wants to do and defeats the literal definition of control to pursue his own life.
