Apparently there is tons of source material still left, yet it looks to have been a few years since the last animated adaptation.

Season 1: Okay, good for some laughs. Not really much else.
Movie: A little better than Season 1, but otherwise, see above.
Season 2: Pointless. Same jokes. Gets old quickly. Should have never happened.

It's owned by Kadokawa so it follows the old model of thinking anime being just an advertisement for the LN model and not the new "foreigners dont read at all so adapt everything and let them make money through buying merchandise and streaming rights".
