Better a fascist than a communist.
Congratulations, you pointed out the fact that fascist dictatorships are shitty forms of government. No reward.
where's that cable going
A capitalist pig?
We are all just pigs in the end regardless
You think the worst form of government is a 1920s italian intellectual and social movement? Grow up. I find it interesting that the Japanese actually tend to talk about fascism in its more objectively correct definition, instead of Europeans and mutts who think fascism is "totalitarianism" because a bunch of communists told them thats what it meant.
Fascism is inherently totalitarian
Italians rioted because Mussolini wanted to replace pasta with rice.
better a fascist than a liberal
Fascism isn't totalitarian. Totalitarian is a stupid word anyway. Try openly defying the government in a Liberal Democracy. The end result is the same.
and tomatoes are inherently fruit.
But generalizing all fruits to be tomatoes is poor logic.
Imagine seeing the state of the world and thinking "I am so glad Germany lost", top kek.
Her walkman
That's fucking stupid and you're probably a teen.
Liberal Democracies have their power distributed among branches of the government that can act independently and have various systems to vote for them.
Totalitarianism is when power exists in the totality of the executive, typically the military commander
Nice word game.
Got an actual point?
They're the same thing...
>of or relating to a political regime based on subordination of the individual to the state and strict control of all aspects of the life and productive capacity of the nation especially by coercive measures (such as censorship and terrorism)
Try not being in total subjection to a Liberal Democracy. Post results. No part of the definition has anything to do with how power is applied. It simply had to do with the individuals subjection to the state.
>Totalitarianism is when power exists in the totality of the executive, typically the military commander
That's the definition of an Autocracy which is not a stupid word.
It's funny that some people think him being a pig is meant to be deep symbolism and not just an autistic Miyazaki design choice.
Thinking

>Liberal Democracy
I'm begging you to stop using reddit and finish high school
lazily referring to a system of organization when you mean a level of authority as if that's a valid level of discourse is the problem.
There are good and bad examples of a huge number of governments and the only one in history shown to have had the fewest successes and caused the most suffering is not fascism but communism
Nah fascism is cool
Fascists would have hated anime and everything it stands for. Fascism is not Zig Forums, fuck off to Zig Forums if you want to LARP as a follower of that dead and defeated ideology. Anime as we know it would not exist in a world run by fascists, it is a product of capitalism and liberalism simultaneously. Try to reconcile moe waifus with fascism. It doesn't work. We'd be in the concentration camps.
Porco Rosso is a great movie and fascists sucked in real life too.
no
So? Why are we discussing this? I'm not a fascist officer. Go arrest that black man, I think he just raped a white womAN.
Name an aspect of your life not subject to regulation by your typical Western LibDem. You can't. You'd have to laser in on the subjective adjective "strict" in the dictionary definition to try to make your case.
My point is that the overwhelmingly legalistic modern Liberal Democracies are on their face Totalitarian by how widespread their practice of prescription/proscription is.
There's almost zero practical difference between a communist and a fascist. 90% of all faggots who use either term do it wrong anyway, modern governments are full of fascist elements.

I like planes.
They both sucked, but fascism sucked less because it kept some good things from the pre-fascist society. Communists tended toward bulldozing and starting over.
Fascist countries recovered well post-fascism; on the other hand, no country has fully recovered from communism.
he drew everyone as pigs
I'm not that user, but it's pretty dumb to keep arguing over totalitarianism. The difference is simple.
In the US, which you would label "libdem," resistance to the ruling coalition can mean social ostracism, difficulty finding or keeping a job if your field is dominated by left-activist employers, and maybe a feeling of isolation and disgust with your fellow citizens. Even in the worst case scenario, you can freely voice your criticism and find information, band together with other dissidents, find another job, or even emigrate.
In a fascist or communist country, that resistance means imprisonment or death. Sometimes you could get imprisonment or death if you don't even resist, for example if someone who hates you for a personal reason holds power and decides to declare you a traitor or frame you for a crime. Off to the concentration camp/guillotine you go.
That should put it bluntly, enough of the semantics.
