What did you think of Deku this arc? Has he grown as a hero?

Actually no. Current Deku is about the same as the Deku who nearly killed himself on Muscular, isn't he? Except this time his emotions took completely over and he got grabbed by AFO because of it instead of staying in control.

Deku has so far had a pretty flat character arc. Flat doesn’t necessarily mean bad it just means he has moreso been affecting the people around him than vice versa
Even this arc it was more of that with Bakugo and Endeavor
Deku’s main “growth” if you can call it that is just in getting stronger and developing OfA further, which doesn’t really interest me beyond the base caveman intrigue of “what will the next quirk be”
Endeavor, Shigaraki, and a few other characters to a lesser extent like Toga, Hawks and Mirko are pretty much the only characters that keep me coming back every week

To add onto this an example of a good flat character is somebody like Luffy who despite never changing from day 1 still manages to stay engaging by being fun & likable
I know Oda threw in a bit of development with Sabaody & Marineford but the point remains the flat character can be done well
Deku has just been done pretty poorly so far

I’ll be so mad if Deku is the one to solve the Todoroki family drama in the end of the whole story. It’s not his business. This is something Shoto needs to do on his own.

This is why Deku bothers me so much (I don’t hate him but I don’t like him). Current Deku is too righteous, he has no personality flaw. Bakugo has anger management problems and he’s too brash. Todoroki in the beginning was stand-offish and cold (and that stopped once he did self-acceptance and now he’s facing his family’s flaws), Luffy (One Piece) is reckless and stupid intellectually (he’s a battle genius tho) and he has a bit of a selfish streak (in a unique way), Asta (Black Clover) is too persistent to the point that it backfires on him. Characters (Especially MCs) need a personality flaw in order for them to stay grounded. You could say current Deku is reckless (cause he is) but that doesn’t feel like a flaw because there’s never any long time or big consequences from his recklessness. The only thing currently developing for him is his power (multiple quirks is just ridiculous btw) and strength which is boring. Everyone else’ story and plot lines are more interesting than Deku’s.
Midoriya already helped Shoto with his “not using my left side” problem during the sports festival, Midoriya needs to butt out. If he does help, it’ll be another case of the self-righteous Gary Sue who solves other people’s problems for them. Deku is ignorant to the societal issues that hero culture has created and is breeding, thats why this whole war is happening, so I don’t want him telling another person how to handle the consequences of the actions of their ex-abusive father.

Literally everyone else’s plot points and narratives are more interesting than Deku’s (which is AFO and OFA), his is so boring to the point I want to skip pages about it. So I don’t want him getting involved in another persons story arc and then ruining it.

This is what I hate so much about Deku. He's literally Good and Pure the physical form. Why else is he not the most popular of his own show? bakugo is a far superior charachter. If only he was the main charachter
his whole lack of self-preservation and the fact he is too sacrificial can be a character flaw but even that comes off as righteous, it’s like everyone in the story other than Deku have some sort of unrighteous character flaw that is negative. He acts like Jesus (I’m not blaspheming) when he shouldn’t be. I always roll my eyes when he goes into tears (no problem with his crying) and says stuff like “I couldn’t save them” or “I’m so useless”. Like be bad for once.
he's the protagonist yet his story is boring as hell. Like you said, the only development he has is his power from 0 quirks to 7 quirks Ridiculous btw Yes he stopped crying alot but he's still the same pure and righteous charachter.
I bet my left nut he's going to apologize to bakugo for bakugo apologizing to him. You know he will lmao.
But Todoroki, endeavor, bakugo's storylines is what carries this show for me. And Shigaraki's of course.

We're all going crazy. The manga's been stuck on the same damn fight for months, Vigilantes has been hijacked into a Mirko filler arc when it should've ended by now, and all we can speculate is how Hori's gonna invalidate a whole year of weekly manga by having the League inevitably get away in the end.

Agreed with everything, I still get hyped when Deku goes madman, but man, Hori just has no idea what to do with him when it comes to character development.

You guys have to understand that Hori can't simply give Deku too much character development, otherwise people could feel alienated by his character and not like him anymore

Literally what I just said. Final battle should've happened months ago, but then Six decided to run away like a pussy after getting the Kariya treatment, and now we're staring down a retcon for how Knuckleduster lost his quirk solely to give retroactive screentime to High-End Hood.

m8 thats all hes done is stick his nose in peoples' business and therapy them through it since the start.

Maybe if Shiggy gets canned there will be more opportunity for Deku to fight like with Gentle and not always be on the verge of breaking.
I'd like to see things slow down a bit and see what happens when AfO is out of the picture.

What are you talking about? First off his lack of confidence/self worth is a glaring personality flaw. Also his recklessness with his power is what precipitated him changing his fighting style to kicks.
Besides all that I don't think Deku is going to be the one to actually do the major healing in the Todoroki family.
