Isayama managed to write himself into a corner in this final arc, where really no possible ending will satisfy a reader. If Genocide happens but only strikes innocent victims like Ramzis while parts of Marley, Warriors, their parents and most of his friends survive, there's no message to be had here since that would mean that Peace was only achievable through Eren's actions by wantign to commit genocide in teh first place, none of the Alliance actions mattered in the grand scheme of things especially since Eren decideds whether he wants them to stop him or not. (Isayama made him too overpowered). Secondly, if the Alliance gets killed and none of them survive, then why the hell have we spent more than a year on both sides getting most of the screentime when they haven't been given a clear role in the arcs before this final arc. There would be zero pay off.
