Kotonoha Katsura from school days to debut as a VTuber on Christmas Eve
Thoughts?
vtubers were a mistake
How so?
...huh. ok then.
FUND IT, I SUMMON THE ANIME BOOMERS FROM 2007
The fact that there is a gif of an anime girl in the corner doesn't make them any different from the other boob streamers.
>watching females in the first place
Males are better vtubers than women, just as males are better streamers than women.
but this is different she literally from an anime
Also, I could have sworn 0verflow was dead and gone, wtf is this
Based Matt will watch!
That based nigger will show up?
I like Vtubers, but I think it takes a special kind of person to be able to be one. Not because you have to play a character, but because you have to be entertaining, usually by yourself, for hours. Most of them stream for a while, doing this and that, and cultivate their culture with their fan base, usually organically. Assuming this Kotonoha still has the original seiyuu, what can be gained from this? The character of Kotonoha is established. It isn't like the actress can take her in new or weird directions. Sure, simps get to pretend they're interacting with their waifu, but how long would that last? Seems like a promotional stunt to me or a hail Mary gimmick.
>yfw Pic related will be the special guest
Will vtubers destroy anime? Even if by diverting funds from consumers and publishers.
>actual interaction with the audience
>massive crossovers with other vtubers
>characters actually develop overtime (tsundere character becomes completely insane)
>there is an actual endgame (characters graduate/retire, banned, or cancelled)
We can only hope
Absolute chad right here
How does anime character speaking with seiyuu hiding behind the character make it any same as boob streamers?
Vtuber is just live anime if it's streamed, if it's videos, it's like anime but slightly different presentation purpose.
How so?
good thing they aren't gifs then
Vtube =/= anime.
This is definitely more /jp/ territory at this point. It's nothing more than larping done by VAs, no coherent story, no writing. This might be the one time I'm glad the split happened.
thad*
It's just Overflow despretly looking for ways to continue milking School Days.
They also just rereleased the game.
It's not anime. It's roleplaying done by the official seiyuu. There's no story, there's no script. It's not anime. If I become an avatarfag and go full autism pretending to be said character does that mean I've become anime? No, and even if I was the seiyuu of said character it'd still be a fucking no. Why the fuck do you vtubefags need to be on Zig Forums? Go to /jp/ where you belong.
fucking kill yourself vtuber subhuman
Seiyuu voicing anime character is Dignified work while vtuber is nothing but e-whoring behind anime character
>It's roleplaying done by the official seiyuu
so just like anime then
No, it's not anime, it will never be anime
It's for subhumans like you that love to simp for e-whores.
Tae Okajima, right?
>she doesn't have some sort of nautical theme
What a missed opportunity.
NTR stream where Makoto fucks her when?
Script and story done by a third party =/= seiyuu playing games and attempting to replicate said writing. It doesn't belong on Zig Forums and it never will. Accept that this shit belongs on /jp/ and move along retard.
it's not the seiyuu playing games its the character she's trying to act that's playing get your stuff right user
Sadly this description applies to your "better" anime too. The audiences just understand there's no difference when they are all pretending and acting fun. I never watch vtube though.
You could remove the games bit of what I said and you basically just parroted the exact reason it's not fucking anime. /jp/ is there for a reason, and this is it. It's not fucking anime, it's not manga, it doesn't belong here. Plenty of games have anime-esque visuals and an actual story and they still don't get talked about here. Why? They aren't fucking anime or manga.
you must really hate adlib scenes
Sometimes I like to think that 0verflow's terrible PR campaigns are all an act.
