the problem is that sneaking nasty shit in already happens, this at least can give the community some sort of assurance against that. it's basically the same idea as Chainlink nodes when you think about, the token holders act as verifiers for the development of the DFO and assure the data being passed from off-chain to on-chain is done with legit data, and those token holders have financial incentive to do so (i.e. they don't want to tank their investment). big difference though is where Chainlink only gives you the ability to verify, this literally gives emergency powers that lets you fix problems caused by any bad data that gets through.
