I wouldnt go that far user. The original visual novel had its problems but it was pretty kino still and the anime made new problems by trying to adapt multiple routes, but it wasn't that bad and it had its great moments.

If you liked the original series, Steins;Gate 0 will be fun.

Literally the best timeloop character ever done, so much detail and time put into the writting and character foundations made his suffering feel so real and devastating.

Thats true although making the story into an anime was already difficult since the VN is just series of relatively short stories that go together. Merging the routes just makes everything look like an asspull.

the only thing you really lose from VN to anime is that faris and moeka are basically non-characters you have no reason to give a shit about because all of their interesting scenes are either cut or don't come off the same because theres no cell phone messages. plus you don't get to see the alternate endings and the movie/ova are kinda dumb.

that's lightyears better than pretty much every other VN adaption ever made though. shits a triumph by the standards of shit like the tsukihime or umineko anime
