what are some solid romance anime (for lonely people)
and nothing too cliche and corny
Crap. Most popular title by far of its time, quickly forgotten just moments later.
The only good thing about this show was Sumomo. Everything else is either forgettable or garbage.
I just like how insanely cute Chi is. I haven't read the manga and I heard that one of the complaints of the anime is that they focused too much on Chi being cute and that there was a lot of material from the manga not properly brought over because of it. That scene where the dude's persocom dies in the rain was also very sad.
Rewatched Onegai Teacher a few years ago and it still holds up well until the drama drags it down.

Postan the happiest girl in the world :)
I like romance anime.
I like romance, but I think most of Zig Forums is too jaded and bitter to appreciate good romance.
can i get a summary pls?
what is so bad about the drama in that show?
Zig Forums reads a lot of romcom though. Are there pure romance series without the comedy?
name some of your favourites?
what are some good ones that lonely people can enjoy
Honey and Clover
are there any romance anime that have edgy themes to them?
that shit was corny the whole show was a love triangle
shit taste
alright user, it's time to fucking die
so you're saying it's based?
I enjoyed it. Ending was a mess.
Some anons told me because it had an anime original ending.
Check out Tsukigakirei and Just Because.
I felt the same for Ai yori aoshi. The first two episodes were pure gold until Aoi's entourage shows up. Then it becomes your tropey-harem, and not the good kind.
based
why is it that most of the replies are anime from 2002
ON OFF ON OFF ON OFF ON OFF ON OFF ON OFF ON OFF ON OFF ON OFF ON OFF
do you mean like an angsty romance anime???
what made the first 2 episodes good?
i know you probably identify with that show a lot.. but i will have to eradicate you for having such shit taste...

It's just them 2. A couple dealing with themselves. It's what sold me on watching the rest of the show way back when.
I like simple stories that explore the premise they set out.
A bad example of this is Kanojo mo Kanojo. Once they added a third girl, I lost interest.
Tenchi (at least the OVA) ended up in a harem but started off with a demon/space criminal being unsealed and the effects of it.
>Tenchi
what would you say you rate that whole series?
are there any romance anime that dont involve love triangles
OVA is good upto OVA 3.
Tenchi universe is fun as its own thing. It simplifies the characters (aka flanderization) but it takes them on an adventure and adds a non-canon character who is accepted as canon (Kiyone Makubi). It's fun.
Tenchi in Tokyo flanderizes the characters even more but the only good thing to come out of it was a date with Ryoko and tenchi. It sticks to a Monster of the week formula with very shallow villains.
The movies are alright but they either follow the OVA continuity or Tenchi universe continuity.
Pretty sammy is a fun spin-off.
I haven't really explored GXP though or anything past OVA 4.
you can go the omnibus route with amagami. I haven't watched it personally.
I find it weirdly sad that he's in love with a woman he can never fuck or even sexually pleasure in any way. That's just kind of fucked up, even for a CLAMP story.
I mean, Jesus. That's a few levels of messed-up I can't even begin to address (and let's not open the can of worms about the big-titted schoolgirl in love with a man three times her age.)
