Not him but the manga is a adaptation of the Lightnovel. So theres not much changes but they added characters in the anime that didn't exist in the LN.

It's a very way of selling a villain protagonist concept, even though Tanya is just selfish realpolitik and not a villain per se. Titles are meant to attract attention, not be 100% accurate representations of the actual product.
