It's kinda weird that they decided to delay the broadcast on other channels since Maou-jou broadcast on other channels is unaffected.

PR Twitter was hyping that a minor character that appeared in previous seasons and the movie would make their big re-appearance in this one too.

How high is the chance that we'll just get 2 episodes next week? And if they're just gonna cut one episode, which one will it be? since we allegedly have a "plot" with the AIs going on, and I doubt they'd skip the very last 2 episodes

The anime is produced by TV Tokyo. So, I guess, if it's not broadcast there, it can't be aired on other channels.

I'd hope the former. But season 1 had something go on where they deleted the original episodes 5 and 7 and had their skits broadcast elsewhere or reserved for the BD, so if they cut any here they could do the same.

Isn't Maou-jou also produced by TV Tokyo? The only difference is it only has 2 episodes left instead of a 2nd cour.

I remember that, wasn't this due to copyright issues? Like the SAW skit being renamed and such.

Pierrot bought 25 weeks of airtime for -san. Since one week got used up and the episode is pushed back, that means they lose out on another episode's airing.

It was used up by the channel, it's up to them to either give them a different date or refund that week.
It's not the first time something like this happens (in general, not talking about Ososan).
