Why does Zig Forums hate BGS so much?

Probably because it's monogatari ripoff and that a holy text here.
Well actually i dunno if it wasn't actually first and can't be bothered to check but the premise is similar. You have a harem of waifus with supernatural problems that vaguely symbolise some psychological issue and guy has to solve it. Has a jealous main girl whodrags MC around, is never around and the worst but wins by default anyway.

i liked the big butt kouhai. dropped it after that though

If reddit slobs all over something then Zig Forums will shit on it. Except in this case Zig Forums is right because this show is ass and very reddit

Woah he just like me! Except he has a girlfriend and gets laid.

There's nothing the show has that you can't find a better version of in a different show. Also because of self-insertfags who think things like are "literally me"
Why does reddit like it? I know they have shit taste but still

Because they’re contrarian nerds. I liked it.

I liked the art style. Not much else.

>Why does reddit like it?

I think they mostly lack frame of reference. If I had only seen a dozen anime, I probably would have really liked it. I really enjoyed most of the first anime I watched and none of them were very good. If you've never been exposed to a trope, it's going to seem fresh no matter where you find it.

I keep hearing the comparisons to monogatari. Is that series good?
Also there's like 4 series, so where do I start?

But we love it

Bakemonogatari is the start. It's great. From there, you can look up the order on google. It's a good time, but I got tired of it and never finished it. The first couple of seasons are well worth it though.

It's Haruhi for zoomers, so of course Zig Forums hates it. It isn't a bad show, but it is nothing to write home about.

Most people just do not care about it since it is forgettable.
And those threads created by those few reddit tourists that still hate it where they post "that" webm quickly became stale as fuck

everything but the last line was as cringe as anything God or Man has ever contrived

Only reason why it gets so much hate is that it
A) liberally rips off series that Zig Forums autists are passionate about while

B) Executing successfully in being a fun, compelling, and dramatic series

Zig Forums is butthurt that Bunny Girl Senpai found success through an unoriginal-but-well-executed series while the "originals" are relegated to niche fandom, the domain of which is primarily populated by low status Zig Forums autists

The kizu movies are worth it if you haven’t seen them.

>low status

Why is this worth mentioning in the realm of anime critique?

Stop making these recordings of me.

i've never seen it but I just think the title is fucking stupid

Because it is a key variable in explaining why BGS haters on Zig Forums seethe about this series so much.

They are impotently raging at the world in many ways, among them BGS hatred

Follow the book release order
Bake>kizu>nise>neko(black)>neko(white)>kabuki>hana>otori>oni>koi>tsuki>koyomi>owari>zoku owari

It’s absolutely retarded to watch Kizu directly after bake.

It's well liked around here but i watched one and a bit seasons and I don't like crab or any of the characters really.
The supernatural element while interesting is just an excuse for shitty teenage relationship drama and the series thinks itself way smarter than it actually is.
I generally don't like that kind of thing so not the best recommendation.

It was released like that originally but the english release puts kizu as the first book on the series,

if you're watching the anime it's absolutely retarded to do anything other than the airing order.

You should only watch the Kizu movies after bake if you’ve read the LNs. Otherwise the lack of narration will make you miss too much.
If you watch it later in the series you understand araragi better as well as his relationship with Shinobu.

>Is that series good
For coom? Yes. For plot? Not really, watch Ueno-san wa Bukiyou instead

It follows the same pattern of MC helping girls with their supernatural problems but i'd say it does it much better, especially how by the end the entire story comes full circle and all the foreshadowing comes together, it also does better the ambiguity of whether the supernatural stuff is really happening or not

Go back.

>watching anime for plot?

I thinks its fans from that other pretentious romance show.
