I'm very surprised as how to how this will work in any way. Trigger are super upbeat and over the top in their style, Cyberpunk is a pretty grim and definitely not happy setting. I just don't see how they could pull it off without feeling like a total genre clash.

BNA had problems, but it had no CGI. Guns, cars, robots, it was all 2D.

Darling in the FranXX was Nishigori's fault. BNA was supposed to be LWA season 2 originally but the writer passed away during pre-production. There was nothing wrong with Gridman and it was very successful in Japan where it mattered. But as far as those other two go and now how the game is getting such poor reviews, yeah they've had to deal with some shit.
