Good is subjective. There is no series that has received 95% approval here aside from maybe Yotsubato.

If you're looking for something pretty short to start with Saya no Uta as user recommended is pretty good, also Planetarian.
If you want to go all in, here are some longer ones that have good story:

- Muv Luv
- House in the Fata Morgana
- Higurashi
- Swan Song
There are a bunch of good ones, they have a very different narrative feel than Manga/Anime. I don't get in the mood for them as much lately, but whenever I get into one it's always like the only thing I do until it's finished.
