Disapperance week.
Disapperance week
I just watched it last month but I'll gladly rewatch it.
Friday, right?
Yes.
What would you do if your close female friend suddenly dissapear user?
Realize that I remembered to take my meds for once
see you there!
I can't even imagine what it feels like to have a close female friend
>been on Zig Forums since 2006
>watched haruhi in 2007
>first time watching the movie with Zig Forums
just watched it yesterday for the first time
incredible movie
this made me cry. Nagato a best
>Nagato a best
There's a lot of subtext in this movie (and series), the entire movie is Kyon trying to avoid the obvious truth
yes, imo the movie made that pretty obvious. makes me want to rewatch the series though
kyon was a necessary evil here in rejecting the fake (i know that's not the best word) Nagato, but it still hurt my heart. so fuck you ;_;
can anyone explain Asakura's role to a brainlet?
is she really just an error that Nagato made? or am i missing something?
also Haruhi looks different in this one, she looks really good here
>can anyone explain Asakura's role to a brainlet?
Original Asakura is Nagato's backup. She ends up going against Nagato's best interests so Nagato erases her.
Movie Asakura is Nagato's creation. She's similar to the original in a few ways, she's Nagato's backup in this world too, just in a twisted way. She's the embodiment of Nagato's frustration, because she's living proof Nagato was willing to use violence to protect her alternate world, at least when she designed it (she changes her mind on it with time). That's why Asakura guilt trips her when she stabs Kyon, Asakura just carried out Nagato's will.
>so fuck you ;_;
im sorry user, it hurt me too
when is the movie rewatch? I watched the anime a while ago but not the movie
interesting, thank you
Sounds like me last year
I think it already happened and my memories were altered too
Nagato's glitch out made her completely irrational to a point where she'd rather Kyon died than him rejecting her offer and restoring the world.
Asakura was supposed to kill Kyon, but Kyon was saved by his future self from a future that was only able to exist because he was saved, which is a causal loop aka something even Nagato with her seemingly perfect understanding of the causal system couldn't predict, and was only able to exist because Kyon was under Haruhi's protection
dum dum here, what truth?
was breaking Yuki's heart really necessary?
very much so
That Nagato was behind everything because they kept relying on her all the time and never rely noticed how bad she was at the time. Remember Endless Eight when Kyon asks Nagato if she's okay and she answers "yes" while making that face and Kyon just stops at that? Or the heater episode when everyone leaves Nagato alone for the entire duration and Kyon wakes up with two cardigans on his back? The second was Yuki's but he was so busy playing with Haruhi he didn't notice.
Disappearance is basically Kyon coming to terms that yes, Nagato has emotions and she went to extreme lengths because of them. Kyon probably had an idea who changed the world but kept in denial until past Nagato revealed it.
Do not post this.
oh man I'm excited
oh I know all that, but was kyon avoiding the obvious truth like the post said? he just realized it later
Kyon is pretty observant and by this point there weren't many options left. I think some parts of the dialogue imply that he should have realized by that time, but he still looks incredibly shocked after the reveal, which makes me think it was more about him feeling guilty and sad for Nagato than him being surprised.
There should be a Haruhi version where she acts all tsundere
is this to your liking?
