To me, FP and CSM are essential opposites in their narratives.
FP is full of substance, but it's style is very nihilistic and hard to swallow, except for Togata's parts. But after her death the story just became even more and more depressing.
CSM is chalk full of style that is very reminiscent of Togata's IDGAF attitude, but its substance is generally very simplistic and one-dimensional: Denji went from homeless to wanting tiddies to simping for Makima and then finally to lolisitting while waiting for the next arc. The only times where CSM has some semblance of poignancy is during the first chapter where he is homeless but optimistic because of his low education, Reze's arc and Aki's death
Everything else feels like one huge but meaningless acid trip. A step down from FP constant crushing nihilism throughout its whole story.

I’d say that this speaks more towards Fujimoto’s greatness if anything. He is able to switch between 2 so inherently different styles of writing one after another, while still maintaining the integrity and quality of both series speaks volume of his genius.
Also, the fact that his track records only contain these 2 mangas so far only shows his how high his ceiling can go. If he does the next arc for CSM well and doesn’t go down the Oda route where just milks CSM for the next 2 decades, I’d say the sky is the limit for him.
If he plays his caress right, he could very well become one of the greatest Mangaka of all time.

I feel like FP's only problem is in its pacing. There are some scenes that feels too rushed and some things left unanswered (like why do some people have the previous generations of human DNA and some don't?).
Surya's character also had so much potential which was wasted when San killed her too early. And the 'I did it for the Star Wars' thing was too bad of a shitpost to ignore considering how nihilistic the story became at that point

This too. Surya deserved some chapters of her own, I've always felt like she has some kind of connection to Agni's mom, Judah's father which made her, Judah and Luna all be the same type of advanced human. Going into their backstories might help further develop the world a lot more.

She has. Agni's mom, Luna, San, San's brother Judah and Surya are all from the previous generation of humans that have strong blessed abilities and the ability (at least for the females) to grow vegetations in their biology. Fujimoto inexplicably showed it in the last few chapters. Pic related.
Since Agni's mom is one of the advanced blessed, it also explains how Agni's regen was so OP throughout the series. Although it isn't explained why Luna's regen is so weak compared to Agni, I think it's probably because she is young and her body has not fully matured yet.
