How did this whole anime series end up so popular in the mainstream? I found it starts off really well, but seems to insist on pushing really homoerotic themes to the point where I can't tell if it's supposed to be part of the humor itself, or that the whole thing is simply built for a niche audience. What's the deal here?

you sound insecure with yout sexuality

it's fun

Most people only like it for the memes and that's most of the reason it's so popular these days.

memes helps to mask or complement the homo tendencies

>How did this whole anime series end up so popular in the mainstream?
It got a new adaptation in 2011, with a god tier opening.
>ut seems to insist on pushing really homoerotic themes to the point where I can't tell if it's supposed to be part of the humor itself
If you see homosexuaity in Jojo, then you have an issue with your sexual orientation

The writing improves as it gets gayer

Let's not kid ourselves Jojo is homo erotic at times, Especially in part 7. But overall it's very flamboyant.

>I can't understand why things I don't like are popular with people who are not me. I see nothing likeable about them, so how is it possible that other people do? Are they smarter than me? This is freaking me out.
You sound very insecure about your sexuality OP, nothing wrong with a bunch of buff dudes fighting.

>pushing really homoerotic themes to the point where I can't...
Extremely faggy thing to be hung up on.

>seems to insist on pushing really homoerotic themes

Yes? Most popular anime among men do this.

JoJo's style and humor aligns particularly well with meme culture

>Pretty well done adaption of flashy action series is popular
Who could have seen this coming?
It's not like this shit wasn't popular in Japan forever it just never got a proper adaption shown elsewhere.

It lets you being gay without being homosexual, which is a thing among manly men since the greeks.

>but seems to insist on pushing really homoerotic themes
When exactly?
You're either projecting VERY HARD or you're a fujo

Luckily the first 3 parts, which are actually good, don't have that problem

Basically these:
You mean Part 5? There are actual homos in this part.

JoJo was never gay.

Based Trilogychad

literally no homoerotic themes besides the actual gay couple 5 parts in, maybe you're seeing those "themes" because you're a faggot yourself

The right term for JoJo is campy, not homoeroticism. If you think it is, then you don't read the series. There are only two gays who got humiliated. The rest is bromance or manly rivalry(Jonathan-Dio).

Sorbet and Gelato get very little screen time.

>literal jokes that work off how rare them actually acting like that is
oh yeah, there were two couples

>homoerotic themes
Imagine being this retarded

I'm convinced that Tooru might be the flashback man. I mean he appears in two flashbacks of the main characters. Kinda has me convinced that we'll see a flashback where he interacted with Kira or Josefumi. Hell he might be the reason why Josefumi almost drowned.

Really?

not the first time jojotrannies deleted my post in their thread and not the last. It happens every time. Jojo threads are quite literally the Twitter posts of Zig Forums. You are all a disgrace to this board and more broadly, this site.
