Someone explain to me how the fuck Saber dodged Gae Bolg.
The spear literally reverses causality itself and pierces the heart instantly. The heart is alread pierced. The movement of piercing it comes after.
Even if she dodged the first blow, the spear should relentlessly track her to guarantee the "result" of "the process."
How the fuck did she just go lol nope?
Someone explain to me how the fuck Saber dodged Gae Bolg
Literally reading it as we speak. It makes absolutely no sense what so-ever that she dodged it.
God Nasu's writing is bipolar as fuck. I was actually impressed before I read this scene.
Lancer has shit Luck
Saber has B rank luck
Nasu makes rules just so he can break them later on in the story.
Stupid high luck stat = altering causality
What the fuck does that mean? How is luck a measurable statisic? Is that just padding by Nasu so he can get away with this bullshit?
Luck also re-writes causality, so it competes directly with Gae Bolg's method. Also, Gae Bolg hit her, just not her heart.
Just get lucky, bro.
It was bullshit and you should write that off as a cheap asspull by a hack writer that likes to pad his stories to hell and back.
I don't understand why, after it misses, it doesn't just correct itself and skewers her heart.
Saber is breaking a fundamental law of reality. She is dead. The lance assures this.
So I assume the lance would correct it's mistake and finish her off.
Because there's a luck stat to justify the asspulls necessary for Nasu to get out of the holes he dug for himself.
She got lucky and it didn't work for whatever reason.
What's dumber is that Lancer could have just immediately did it again right after but he didn't because of reasons.
Isn't it great how this was at the very beginning of the vn so you'd know what to expect.
Luck is a stat.
>Is that just padding by Nasu so he can get away with this bullshit?
yeah
because in the nasuverse luck is a literal measurable statstic, and saber's just happens to be good, and lancer's is shit.
>I assume the lance would correct it's mistake
I doubt Gae is sentient enough to do that.
But I remember kiritsugu's magic being binded and influenced by Gaia because he was actively breaking reality and bending it.
Gae Bolg rewrites the literal rules of causality so it makes sense it would trick Gaia in leading the spear into whatever is "Dead"
Gay Bulg can only pierce the hearts of men, so dickless artoria doesn't count.
Nasu is autistic and not the good kind of autism either.
>What the fuck does that mean? How is luck a measurable statisic?
Nasu was really into D&D
but... how does being lucky change an established rule of reality, doesn't luck just mean, like, been on the right time or winning a lottery, not ignoring gravity for instance, i dont get it
because fuck plotfags and fuck (you)
The reality you perceive is relative.
>reverses causality itself
You dont even know what this means, retard
Her "Instinct" skill gives her the ability to see the future slightly and dodge the King Crimson lance.
> Actually thinking fate is written like a clockwork masterpiece as for this to matter
Literally reverses cause and effect.
The "Result" comes first and the "process" comes last.
A middle schooler could get it.
Tossing a bunch of words together and making them sound intelligent doesn't actually make it good writing.
Retard
>have a hax ability which should be an instakill
>doesn't work because his stats are shit
Then why does he have it in the first place? How did he become a hero with a Noble Phantasm he can't even use properly?
Then you explain it pseud-kun.
If the result comes first and process last, then it means that the processes was a success in order to achieve the result, but what if the process fails?
"Luck" is a thing in nasuverse.
You can think of luck like "the thing that allows you to make imposible things happen" or just your ability to create miracles.
This helped saber to make Gae bolg not hit her hearth, she still got hit but thanks to that the second effect of gaebolg didnt happen and her core wasnt destroyed.
The result is already final. Based on what we know about the basics of reality in Fate, Gaia tends to force things to conform to the set rules we regard as physics.
The lance already achieving the "Result" fools Gaia into believing whatever Gae Bolg hit should already be dead. Therefore, it makes sense that the lance would relentlessly track its target using Gaia's mana and influence to fuel it.
There is no reason the process should fail.
Gay Bulge should be an instakill every time it thrusts someone.
But it didn't kill Saber, so it failed.
Yeah. That's what I dont fucking understand. Muh 10 luck crit build broke reality. Sasuga Nasu.
Shitty writing ignores logic it sets up itself
The will of the universe bends reality to fuck Lancer over as much as possible.
