i dont understand this. i am new so bear with me. selling the contract at the bid price i choose is standardized, but the bid price for an aug 14 c 50 is still 0.02 which is fucking nothing. doesnt increased liquidity just mean more chance of the contract being bought, not that it will be worth more? maybe that specific contract for KO is just a bad example?

Did you do any research at all about it? Republicans and Democrats both wanted the stimulus, Democrats just want to give out more by taxing billionaires. Republicans want to keep their money so Trump signed an executive order for the stimulus. However, the executive order is optional and too expensive for the state government to pay. Republican states obviously have an easier time getting that money than Democratic states. Basically they're using the stimulus as a way to fling shit at each other before the election. "HAHA LOOK WHAT THEY'RE DOING XD VOTE FOR US" bullshit.
