idk desu

I'd say we get another month

Chainlink is leading the charge dumbfuck
The other DeFi coins are the ones you should worry about

It's offering high roi -just like finance1.0 did in the 80's-90's but with a much higher roi and you don't have to leave the house for it.People are lazy, so this is comforting them ;)

>buy link
>stake link to farm the ultimate defi meme, yams
>???????
>profit forever!

chainlink will dump together with all the other ones when people get bored of defi

am i the only one from the 2017 bubble that doesnt understand defi and feels like a retard now?

is it just a bunch of ponzis and "staking" scams? or is there something useful here?

is this the new fud? defi is just one of the many use cases for link

Ok

i hate people that watched the big short and keep calling everything they don't think sustainable is a bubble.

same here

i think: it will pop when the market realizes that there are too many products and not enough money to go around. Ethereum clogging gets much much worse.

Proof of stake reduces need for mining rigs. Smart contract made an operating system for devs to make apps for crypto, hence borrowing and lending. Proof of stake + Smart Contracts = DeFi Movement where devs don't need to buy mining rigs to sustain crypto (Pre-mined tokens) and they just shit out dapp after dapp claiming silicon valley layers of tech jargon.

Same, I left in 2018 and defi is weird. I learned a lot reading about yams last night though, since it basically takes all the defi concepts and smashes them together.

Care to share links that you found useful? I'm looking myself as well

who the fuck is actually borrowing though?

haha excellent!
This is about what I understand so far. It's with shit like yield farming where I get lost.

where the fuck is the money that people earn coming from? I dont get that

defi as it is now is just a way to leverage your tokens to trade more tokens. whale games.
people who put eth to use as a way to buy a car are in the vast, vast minority.
someday it may be more, who knows; but as it is now it's used for alt-trading.

something I just found:
coindesk.com/defi-yield-farming-simplified-with-human-words

check this thread as an example people who borrow, duh. the more demand there is to borrow the higher the interest rate. no one bothers borrowing usdc so it's like 1%.
right now it's kind of useless and like i said it's whale games... who benefits from defi? people who already have crypto as collateral.
that being said there are interesting things coming like delegated lending - so you can lend to someone you've vetted through a defi platform without them putting up collateral on chain.
if traditional finance implodes too, defi is nice because of all the stablecoins and such - I've put a good portion of my wealth (more than 60%) "on chain"
i'm sure there are many other use cases too and they are being built but right now it's just used for leveraged shitcoin trading and uniswap

thanks for the perspective user

The defi ”bubble” hasnt even started. Not even close to news yet

what are some DeFi projects to look into?

of course it has bruh, you cant even fucking participate at this point because the roads are clogged with txns

the only thing i can see with any normie appeal is RSR and that's where a majority of my eth is.. the other 3-4 is just used for day trading on uni. there's nothing i've found really worth long term holding, except maybe STA and possibly LID but i'm still learning about those

Links been pumping for years you stupid faggot. Zoom out.

What are the LINK clones?

Money will flow into them as LINK goes up just due to speculation

>Chainlink is only pumping cuz defi

Lmao, what about Oracle, BSN, the four top Korean banks, ...?
And that’s just some of the recent ones.

75% crash.

Same and i dont even care, they are all scams most def

It hasnt hit mainstream media yet.

kek, you are not alone.

This is just an altcoin reversal headed by defi hype after 2 years of getting absolutely ruined. We aren't even officially in a bull market yet, it's just a recovery with some coins doing particularly well.

Look at search interest in crypto, it's barely off the ground and nowhere near the 2017 peak.

You guys just don't get it.

Its not a bubble, its adoption

So we are early?

Yes
Link will flip eth

But who is pouring in all the money? Are the chinks back?

>?????
aaaand it’s gone

test

unironically anyone who has clued in to the fact that the current financial system is not profitable anymore. legacy systems are pumping to the heavens so they can get a bigger slice of the crypto pie. it's happening too fast for the average person to notice which is very very sad, blink and you might miss the introduction of the 4IR

I can’t believe biz discovered LINK years before any other online community and here you all are completely missing the boat on defi. I thought you guys like making money?

It's literally just 30 price feeds lol
It's cmc that updates every 5 minutes lol
Worth 3 billions dollars for updating a web page every 5 minutes lol
