If I want to actually make some money in stocks and I only have like $3000 invested, should I be trying to find medium-to-long term holds and hope they pull like 15%+ or should I be doing shorter term swings where I take profits earlier and reinvest more often?

what are these

ATH during second wave is hilarious. Shorting here is free money. Economy will crumble it's just a question of when.

Yes yes. Into the filter you go.

anyone have calls on SLV?

she has a FAT monkey

Pick one highly volatile stock you do PROPER research on and write options on it. Or learn about writing spreads, butterflies and iron condors

Attached: 1585858231373.jpg (1200x827, 209.82K)

Swing trade the most volatile of the leveraged ETFs like HIBL, NAIL, LABU, FNGU, UVXY, etc.

RIOT keeps going down even BTC is going up

WTF is this scam stock

ok now this is based

I hold boomer shit. I started getting stuff like TQQQ due to this board.
Are options easy money like some people here say? Is it worth the time to learn? I think I can afford to gamble a little.

Why worry when you get a healthy boost to net portfolio value every Friday like clockwork?

Attached: Theta.png (259x594, 41.8K)

Nope. Wuflu is widely being accepted as an anti-trump softcoup attempt

Only thing it will cause is uncertainty. No crash

read and screenshotted, thanks bud

>how to shut up your petgirl gf

>Sold everything today and put 100% into SQQQ. Market is devoid of reality. Short US market until SPY 220.

Are EU autos explosively gaining?? That actually makes sense, since so many people are turning away from public transportation right now... FUCK I want to buy some Pall now!

I went to a dealership today and they told me all silver is sold out. They get deliveries on Monday and in the evening it's gone.

He told me in no uncertain terms that he's making bank
Snap is 22, SPCE is 18 or so
Gold may go up to 2.1
Otherwise no real deals. Dems and Reps are the same party anyways so who cares?

I have 6k, two of which I have swing trading, 4 I want to put into a mutual fund. What should I consider before putting most of my money away?

How can I do that without getting fucked in the ass? I have a few shares of NAIL but I've just been holding it

You gonna sell or do you think things are getting better? Mine expire 8/28.

He's referring to covered calls which are very conservative.

You're used to thinking you're the smart guy in the room. It's a major flaw.

>How can I do that without getting fucked in the ass?
Have a rational basis for where you think the price will go and have a condition in mind for when things go against you bad enough that your thesis is wrong then set the stop there. Honor your stops. If you have an edge and are a decent trader who manages risk correctly you'll make it. If not you'll know soon enough

Covered calls!

shorting at the open
use the meme ouija, user

What would be the benefit of writing options on something like SNAP or SPCE instead of just swing trading it regularly?

I wish you good luck user, but most of those are mathematically not in your favor. On a long enough timeline you will blow up your account with these positions. Law of large numbers is unavoidable.

I should have listened to the guy who shilled OPTT last night

Should I sell or let it ride?

1) leverage 2) options give you more flexibility since there is an option for whichever direction you think the underlying will go or no direction at all. Research iron condor to get a good idea here

I know what covered calls are, it's just that $3000 total is only enough to get around 1 contract of any worthwhile stock, and I don't really want to fuck with options if I'm only able to work with a single contract at a time and it's all my money

Me and the wife were watching that real i.d channel where they show actual crime reenactments. Anyhow this one ep showed how this woman killed her husband (real estate millionaire) for the money. Almost got away with it to. She offed him with via poison in the drink over time. Makes you think..

never trust roasties

Unless you’re part of the 1% that can make money trading (you’re not)m just buy big companies and hold forever

I think the smarter ones feed their husband unhealthy shit

You should see how much you lose at 9:30 when those AH gains kick in. My guess is you're about to lose 400-500 and you should've sold today

Naked puts desu.
Some months ago I preferred cc but I completely switched to naked puts pretty much.
It's high IV and theta making you gains while also being cheap. The underlying doesn't even have to move to make money

A couple of them are next friday and then the friday after. Trump is going on a spending spree, that generally pushes people towards gold to protect their money. I also believe in the price of precious metals continuous rise because of the complete instability of our government and social issues along with the trillions we are throwing into circulation

i duno user, i got SLV going much higher in the coming months. the pullback we got was sharp but necessary

You're absolutely correct. I don't go in with all of my portfolio and always turn gains from the $50k collateral into a wheel for AMZN/TQQQ.

If all else fails, I'll pull some AMZN RSUs. If I manage to hit 7 figures on my wheeling account, I'll up the spread collateral to $100k. So I guess you can say I'm writing the spreads with 10% of my portfolio at all times and offloading any realized gains into the non-spread side of my portfolio.

These positions work out.. until a black swan event happens and they don't work out. I've had a few burns before on stocks I didn't fully understand (GLD, SLV) so I'm sticking to what got me here. Here are some pretty risky spreads I wrote a few weeks back for entertainment purposes.

Any other anons holding $CLSK?

>Trusting 3D
I'd sell desu.

Attached: 1502384369945.jpg (1920x1080, 664.14K)

Not him but you can do it on margin. I leverage my portfolio to do that. I usually start with setting up a scalp (usually shortly before and ex div date ) on some shares, if I don’t get a fill then I aim to scalp the dividend, and if I don’t get filled quickly enough Or if it goes down I’ll add some shares to dollar cost average and sell a call close to or above the average trade price of my shares.

Who's buying the BEKE IPO at open tomorrow?

wtf is this thread image where are my waifus
