It's "luv", not "'uv". It's 'ate because they elute the non-silent h. It's 'luv' because they pronounce the l, but they pronounce a narrow o, which makes it sound more like a 'u' as in luv, and because they don't hang on the 'v', making it seem like there's no 'e' at the end.
