Nope. I run a wheel on TQQQ and AMZN. A healthy chunk of that was from when I got assigned on TQQQ 115/116 puts then the week after we had the giant tech run-up with AAPL, AMZN, and FB beating it big and TQQQ running to 125. I sold 123 strike calls on those which got assigned away from me.
Yeah I wouldn't write spreads right after a tanking especially in this environment. They tend to keep falling a bit more. Look at $FSLY, $NET, etc - it's all the same story. The market doesn't have enough faith or momentum to see it rise at the same speed so they pull the money out to go into whatever's riding an upward momentum instead (like AAPL or TSLA right now.) Try to stick to megacaps instead and settle for smaller safer gains instead.

I like the no options commissions and the liquidity is fine since I write megacaps, QQQ TQQQ and SPY. The bid-ask spreads on megacaps are the same for RH and others like TDA as well, like 99% of the time. I would never use RH for 0DTE (can't do this on RH anyways) or 3+ leg options though.
He is right though. ULA only gets contracts because of lobbying and literally because they're not SpaceX. If the government had to buy on cost alone, there would be no other competitor than SpaceX.
