The Fed would just create something like XRP where they control literally everything. This isnt exciting news in the least bit. In fact it's a massive blackpill because people are generally retarded and will probably believe this is basically government endorsed Bitcoin.
people here don't give a shit, they just want easy money.
Daniel Hill
too bad it says XRB instead of XRP, fake

XKEK
I'd buy that currency

LINK was made popular on this board for a reason. Thank you for everything you've done and continue to do - the future looks brighter than ever. Enjoy!

XRP has spent the last four years becoming the obvious choice for this, to custody it, work with it, and NOW do smart contracts and leverage with Flare. FOUR YEARS of hobnobbing with banks and getting regulated
Bentley Foster
Arthur hayes did a blog post about this.. doesn't mean fedcoin is integrated into existing crypto but that they will use it to buy crypto. some anons posted their own theory that CBDCs mean a UBI and negative interest rates / plus a limit on when you can spend the fedcoin (it expires if you don't use it). so then people realize it's worthless and use it to buy hard money. but if they can program money that expires i'm sure they can also program in a list of authorized vendors - you can't use it to buy bitcoin or private crypto/whatever
Gavin Robinson
this, I don't get it either

Lmao, low their fud, read some material jackass. Fed just wants to regulate it

Have I gone too far Zig Forums?
I think our little brother Zig Forums needed this talk so they grow up.
Luis Diaz
the difference between a CBDC and the existing system is you get a direct account at the central bank and your own private wallet rather than the funds being routed through a commercial bank/other intermediary
Benjamin Morris
this. why do people think anything is changed? if they did a fixed supply like bitcoin, that'd be one thing. if anything it makes negative interest rates and greater surveillance easier for the elite. fuck this shit.
Benjamin Perez
imagine still thinking XRP will be used. It won't pic related.
Exactly, user. This empowers the Fed with even more communistic control than they already have.
Kayden Cruz
>Federal Reserve removing cash Will our wealth even matter in such a tyrannical state?
Henry Wilson
Or maybe, just maybe there are people that own and run the fed who are kinda smart and planned for this.
Perhaps they would have bankrolled (free money n all) numbers/cryptography nerds to make something they could use as their current enslavement system got stale. Like xrp, btc, algo, saving eth when it would have otherwise died...now go back to redit faggot.
Chase Morris
so i wouldn't have to pay wire transfer fees? they could still freeze your funds easily.
Jaxson Sullivan
I don't think anyone (but schizos) actually thinks this has anything to do with ripple.
Ripple is a product for banks world wide.
But when governments start more and more moving towards crypto in their day to day operations, the whole crypto market will go up
Andrew Miller
Absolute fucking brainlet kek since when is the USD blockchain based?

God I hope so, have been holding those bags for years

Not really, no. Because after they demonitize cash they'll start coming for land and other property. This is what we get for not murdering them in 1913.
Completely nonsensical post.
Matthew Mitchell
That's fine, I won't be buying. XRP doesn't even have the technology to make this work. Besides being an hilarious scam that endlessly prints tokens and dumps. Buy QNT, obviously. They're already delivering what ripple can't.
Robert Gray
It's not, and neither will this be. It's just a timestamp server (like Bitcoin), but they have TOTAL control over.
