I dunno about the GHOST NFT game, but the guy doing that zombie game is hot shit and it is not vaporware. He has a couple medium scale enterprise projects under his belt, he's delivered a POS/CRM system for a small franchise and a phone buyback app like gazelle.com in the past. He showed me his LinkedIn and some of the zombie game, he's got 3d models finished for stuff he is converting to 2d sprites, and hes doing everything in Gamemaker Studio. He also has another wizard on contract doing graphics.
