Ok but the minimum age to withdraw penalty free from all retirement account gains is 55 so even if you retire at 40 it would be dumb to start drawing them down.

The only cure is to buy some. I felt the same as you back when it skyrocketed up to $1 so I threw $5k into it just to have some skin in the game. Knowing (or strongly believing) at the time that I was probably just throwing away my money. But hell you never know.
