the problem is really that 90% of all people are running one single client implementation (prysm). when all these prysm users stopped attesting there was no way for the other clients (lighthouse, teku) to reach finality.

I think he means Cardano. Once the smart contracts and governance protocol are out (both this year), the project should finally blow up and be essentially better than ETH in every aspect. DEFI projects can transfer and not suffer insane fees.
Cardano painstakingly yet successfully transferred into proof of stake, so the hard part is over. Smart contracts are way easier and are coming this year.
