I'm just getting into this project rn user. Basically it's still early days, but I think Proof of person is a genuinely interesting problem that has a lot of value. Not sure if Idena is necessarily the solution, but it's a really interesting attempt. Rather than just buying the coin you should install a node and learn about it, it's pretty interesting.

The whole idea behind Idena is to download the client from their website and get invited by a close friend. There's no need to buy it. You can accumulate 1k iDNA in a few months this way

Concept is cool but it relies entirely on human creativity and intuition. Plus validation bugs have killed half of the network on numerous occasions (flips not appearing, nodes not being synced, etc)

I’m perfectly aware of that. I was validated for months and Human status for a couple epochs. Flip quality is inverse with the number of users. It got worse and worse the more nodes there were.

The human aspect is one of the unsolved questions of the blockchain because we had other things to worry about, like setup the fundamental architecture and ground floor. Now, we need actual human interactions and the likes of Idena and Kleros bring this to the table from completely different angles
I’m not even talking about that Idena actually answers the oracle problem with a decentralized network of oracles unlike chainstink centralized KYC nodes
