Does anyone else here have financially retarded parents? Jesus Christ this is hell on earth

Does anyone else here have financially retarded parents? Jesus Christ this is hell on earth.

My dad gets the most expensive cigarettes he could possibly find and spends 15 dollars a pack. Probably like 300-400 a month.

They live in the middle of nowhere where everyone is miserable. The house is literally crumbling and it leaks in every single room when it rains for hours and never stops. In the winter it’s freezing cold like 60 degrees and I can’t even leave my room with the space heater in it.

My dad could fix every problem but spends thousands On fucking cigarettes and the fucking house constantly smells like fucking cigarette smoke. Plus they buy fucking booze every day so literally fucking probably thousands and thousands just thrown in the trash every year while I suffer in this.

I never had any resources growing up. Never had help getting a car. Not close to anything. And I’m the total fucking opposite too. I’m trying to take care of my health and eat healthy and save all my money but I have to suffer through all this shit and I’m in the middle of the woods so if I wanna move I have to go 8000 miles away to live in civilization

This is in america. And my dad finally got a normal job and then day 1 he buys a big stupid truck doing expensive payments every month and then gets injured and stops working.

go live your own life and quit leaching off your dad.
fags like you are the reason why so many dads split.

Boomer tier

My faggot parents blow money on new motorcycles, I havent spoken to them in 4 years and dont plan too. They liked to play sadistic games using money with me too, like promising me 10gs (the old man got 500k when my grandma died) en I bought a house and not delievering, ever.

but yea my dad sucks with money too. he's 51 and has never owned a house kek

My dad constantly bought shit he didn't even need when he had a job. never taught me any valuable skills or shit and somehow surprised to see me as the useless millennial that I am. And he expected me to become a lawyer one day, when being a mechanic was more to my speed. Thousands of invested dollars wasted for a degree in a third world shithole that I live in. Now I'm having constant car problems, and getting Juden'd thanks to my lack of knowledge of cars

My mom was always happy living a pleb eating and feeding her family like fucking Ethiopians, never considering the living hellscape she brought me and my brothers into. Financially illiterate among many things. Now she's horrified of the realization of how much me and my siblings suffer to make ends meet.

I do but it’s mostly my dad. They’re good people but they don’t seem to have a good sense of planning for the future. “””””””We”””” are Seventh-Day Adventists which means that “””””we”””””” believe that Jesus is coming back soon (maybe today, maybe next week, maybe in a thousand years ;)). I think that feeds a little but into their carelessness with money and their lack of ambition. They’re not as wasteful as yours seem to be but they suck with resource management. Like they just give +15% of their net pay away to the church and other shit like that. There’s no more uncomfy feeling than knowing that you’re living in a house where one fuck up will ruin your personal finances because you’ll have to help out if that happens because your parents don’t know how to manage cash. It’s mostly my dad but I feel like they keep their finances separate from each other which is retarded when you’re both responsible for a family.
That’s why I HAVE TO make it from crypto.

WAH MY FUCKING PARENTS DON'T GIVE ME MONEY WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Fuck you asshole go earn a living and stop bitching like the pussy ass bitch you are. GROW THE FUCK UP. No body gives a fuck about the money your parents didn't give you. If giving wealth to offspring is important to you THEN FUCKING CREATE IT and give it to your children. Fuck you OP. GROW A PAIR AND FUCKING MAKE MONEY.

Sounds like it sucks man. My dad trained as an accountant so I grew up in a totally different environment. I once got told to not use my toys with batteries in them too often so that the batteries would last for longer.

You've gotta get out of there man. I hope you make it soon.

You such a fucking schizoid
To function in this society and to 'grow up', all you need as a child is little food, and couple advices to become self-relient. That doesn't cost GENERATIONAL WEALTH. That is literally bare minimum. Children don't become leeches out of nowhere, you fucking retard.

Santa = Satan

I have memories of my dad going to Toys are Us to get me a toy that was on sale (

>In the winter it’s freezing cold like 60 degrees
Nigga I live in Phoenix. It was about 1150 today.
In the "winter" when it gets to 600 in my house I CELEBRATE.
Also my parents are doing just fine and don't do shit like that.

idk user, do Wim Hof method to survive the cold

My parents tried to run the restaurant they paid 500k on like a communist utopia where everyone got an equal say. They even kept people who stole their alcohol. My parents aren't bad people,.but they can't be trusted with money

I mean my mom literally raised me up since I was born, my dad divorced her and didn't give a two fucks about us. Well his mental health is getting worse though after he divorced, like schizophrenia. I probably got some mental health issues from my dad

Is your dad a redneck? That sounds hella stupid. Buy his truck for pennies.

Wouldn’t that just waste more money in gas

My parents made no money, lived off their parents and inheritance (grandparents were rich), and literally blew through millions on drugs. Oh and they smoked too. The only thing I was left were the cremation bills. Still love them cause they’re my parents, but...yeah.

Yes

My parents fight over the prices of food, autistically pointing out when the labels don't match the electronic price.

They earn at least 400K combined.

Shit really sticks in the brain.Fortunately my dad was a time is money kinda guy so that helped him come to decisions fairly quickly.

the turd didnt fall very far from the ass

It’s just how boomers are. My dad had a decent small business making 200k the first year. He bought like 3 brand new trucks and then the business came down. Now he is stuck with 300k worth of debt.

I moved out long ago, but it’s a sad sight. They fucked themselves pretty hard, and I tried to give them advice to put the money in good places with returnable income.

Nah, you can’t help them. They’ll always think you are a stupid little boy, doesn’t matter if you already lapped their income twice at half their age.

You are smart for what I assume is a young age. Get out when you can. Start a life in a normal town.

My parents are really stupid with their money eather. Ugh

>taught me any valuable skills or shit
Same. He would sit at home and get drunk off wine and tell at me and my bro if the garbage needed to be put out. Never taught us any lessons or had any good wisdom.

Guess it tonight me self reliance

It’s the guilt of leaving u and your mom that wrecking his mind. If you live a healthy life of truth and kindness, your mind will never have issues. Never cheat, steal, or hurt others...that’s the secret

>Never taught us any lessons or had any good wisdom.
How could he? He was poor after all.

At least you had 2 parents. My nigger pops fucked off to start a new family after beating the shit outta me, mom and bro.
Been supporting them since 17 cuz mom hardly ever finds work. Jus sayin, could be worse.

my parents are not financially retarded but they are not very financially intelligent either. They never had credit card debt, got our house and cars paid off, etc, with only my dad working a blue collar factory job. I wasn't showered with expensive gifts and clothes like some kids are but I never felt too poor either, we had enough for a comfortable but fairly medicore existence so I am at least grateful for that

But I realized now you can get so much more out of life by taking more risks which is something I never learned from my parents who play it safe every step of the way. I love my dad but how he could work the same job for 30 years I have no idea. It's a little sad he never really tried to aim higher, but he's worked so fucking hard for 30 years grinding away as a wageslave in a dirty factory, it makes me upset to think about, that's he worked so hard for so little. As a father I hope to be exactly like him, but I have taken a lesson from his career, not to get stuck in a miserable job for 30 years just because it's the safe option when so much more can be gained from being ambitious, taking risks and learning from your failures
