Upfiring is a different concept from Bittorrent. With Bittorrent, you can basically use it as you would any torrent client. You pay BTT just for faster speeds and if you seed you get BTT if someone's paying for faster speeds... It's basically just a tacked on optional tokenisation for no good reason
Upfiring is different because it's about building a marketplace for content sharing and UFR is at the heart of it. So, if you have got content you'd like to sell, you set the price in UFR, and distribute it on the network. When people buy it to decrypt the content with UFR, you get paid for it, and also seeders get paid for it (all in UFR). Those who seed AND decrypt get paid more. It's a nice model where everyone is incentivized to sell content, consume content and keep the network running. Obviously, Bittorrent is millions of users while Upfiring is yet to be marketed. We'll see how adoption goes...
