Buying a Place in California

>Finally started my career about a year ago.
>Normally making ~$50/hr, some shifts ~$100/hr d/t COVID-19.
>Learned to budget: paid off all debt ASAP and now have money made 71 days ago paying for stuff now with plans to have money made 180 days ago pay for shit now.
>Successful Real Estate Brother notices.
>Insists I buy a place here in California.
>Understand the importance of investing in and having physical wealth.
>Been hearing for years how California is going to shit way before Joe Rogan and Elon Musk made it mainstream popular.
>Keep seeing how it only gets worse (tricking people into getting HIV only a misdemeanor, Ultra-Wealth Tax, 1 year jail-time for mispronouncing genders, bill on the ballot to remove racial-discrimination protections with the intention of discriminating against Whites, more and more homeless appearing, etc.)

I... I don't know if I want buy a property in California... Like, I know I should buy land; but I'm worried about buying a property here and it dramatically going down in value because of how much of a unlivable shithole California could potentially become. Also, I don't want to live here anymore and I plan to live at the very least live outside of Socal sometime in the future (within the USA hopefully at best in Montana)... I know I could just end up being a landlord or something, but still.

>living in commiefornia in the year of our lord 2020

leave and nuke that place from orbit.

how bout i let everyone else leave and i stay

Go to Wyoming for the low tax rates, although then while you have money, you also have nothing.

wait for it to become an unlivable shithole, THEN buy. wait for it to be re gentrified and triple your money.

Real estate is an investment and should be treated as such
What is your expected ROI including risk?
Remember that Berkshire Hathaway rents the office Buffet works out of.

Most who tell you California is a shit hole, live in some fly over state and haven’t left their moms basement in years. California is shitty in some areas just like in most places. You can’t beat the weather, you can’t beat the money. Politics are fucked and it’s too liberal yada yada yada
But visually it’s fucking cozy.

Just stay away from big cities, just like anywhere else. Lotta copium comes out when talking about CA.

California real estate outside of big cities is only going up. Not sure what specific question you have though user.

This. Only poorfags and incels spend their days talking about how shitty a place is when in reality they’ve never been and couldn’t afford to anyways Kek.

Unless you know what you're doing, no.
>buying agricultural land in the central valley to lease to farmers
The central valley is sinking by several feet a year because the underground aquifers are being depleted and aren't replenishing. Thank the coast for having almost no drinking water and having to leech off the rest of the state for it. Also have fun learning about what eminent domain is when the government tries to build a shitty highspeed rail (that's doomed to fail because of the above reason) in your backyard.
>buying real estate on the cost
Don't do it. All the middle class money is leaving, and zoning is all kinds of retarded. You'll learn why rent control is a terrible idea real fast.
>buying land in Jefferson
Why tho

Don't invest your in California
>t. Californian

I know nothing about California but Texas is a pretty great place to make money. Not sure how complicated that would get though, since you don’t live there.

>$50k per hour
I think you've gotten some bad informarion. You can't afford anything above a small condo with that. Not unless you get roommates or renters.

I live in the bay area and it's been 100 degrees 4 days in a row with thunderstorms. Sound like misery? Yes, you're right.
Sure, we might not get natural disasters other than earthquakes (we're overdue for a big one at that), and sure, the weather might be better than the shithole most of you cucks live in, but guess what? You will pay a fucking PREMIUM for this weather and the weather is honestly not as good as you think.
That's just the weather, dont get me started on cost of living, traffic, or politics.

i was thinking moving to nevada for better taxes and traveling forth between cali and nevada. Have a Tahoe safe house and rent a bay area crib for city fun. Any cali bros with similar plans?

The Bay area is a shithole.

seething flyover fuck

>The Bay area is a shithole.

If have the money to get ripped off on real estate, do it. its the best place to live in the country, and society is atleast 10 years ahead of other states in terms of innovation.

Move to San Diego. It's pretty based. Weather is amazing, you can surf all the time, girls are gorgeous, there's a huge military presence (Navy Shipyard, Top Gun etc) so it's pretty even repub and lib, and having LA nearby sucks up lots of the assholes in it's gravity well kinda like how jupiter clears out the inner solar system to be safe for us.

I'm from NYC but I have been to SF and imo it is a shithole in part because of the beautiful weather. homeless people can live there year round so they migrate to California which naïvely welcomes them with open arms. We have literally bussed our homeless to California for years. Not sure why you guys keep taking them in instead of making their lives hell so they'll go elsewhere.

california is a really awesome state but buying there is asking to get fucked
their pension system is fucked
they always vote for the most cucked shit possible
if you own property their you're basically a pig getting bled until you can't take it anymore

it's a great place to be a surf bum on welfare but if you're contributing to society look elsewhere.

Your own brother is trying to screw you lol, real estate has been crashing there since 2018. No one wants to move there and everyone is leaving.

Northern California or San Diego

You are delusional. The rest of the state hates you stupid fucks. Thanks for voting to build a high speed rail where the ground is constantly shifting, and then releasing massive amounts of reservoir water into the ocean to save some gay fish instead of finishing the tertiary stage of the California water project, not to mention the literal hundreds of millions of dollars we spend to foot the medical bills of obese diabetic mexicans and squatemalans who are here illegally because our hospitals won't turn them away for not having insurance unlike in their home countries.

this reeks of pajeet scam shenanigans.

>.4% wealth tax

>says the ukranian living in suburban Des Moines.
Nice try but I live in Santa Barbara. So I say it again, ALL parts of The Bay are a shithole.

Fuck the Pacific. East coast is where it's at, bitch.

If I was an amerilard i would only consider buying land in Utah or South Dakota. Rest of your country is pure shit

Southern Californian here. You would be retarded to buy land out here right now. Everyone is trying to leave this god awful state for a reason. Beautiful state, overpopulated aa fuck, wacky politics that will try to take you money around every turn. Look around first user you are young. There are other coastal states with less homeless, niggers and thieves literally fucking everywhere. Also less traffic. A lot of the wealthy moving into California now are from India or China.

If you like Montana check out Idaho. Some very beautiful spots out there as long as you are not a faggot. Check out Cour’Dalene. It’s a little college town by a lake and is beautiful.

Id be more worried about forest fires but whatever
