Any Layer 2 DEXs?

Zig Forums it's time to have a proper discussion of layer 2 DEXs. As we know on-chains DEXs like uniswap are utter crap due to congestion and high gas fees and CEXs are centralized which is not crypto. That leaves only layer 2 DEXs as the solution for trading in the future.

So are there any good layer 2 DEXs out or being developed atm? The only one I am aware of is Stakenet DEX (XSN) who are working on lightning + raiden currently.

I'd like to know as well. Off-chain trading is the closest we'll ever get to decentralized trading that WORKS the same way as centralized exchanges does today.

On-chain DEX's are slow, and incredibly expensive to use in terms of fees.

Stakenet seems like a solid project, despite the heavy shilling here. I'd like to know if they've got any serious competitors

>So are there any good layer 2 DEXs out or being developed atm?

There’s none except XSN. First mover advantage.

For real? Sounds pretty fucking solid. I might as well get a masternodes worth, while I can then.

Indeed, I have yet to find any other projects that come close to the progress stakenet has made.
If there really is no other hidden projects working on a layer 2 then that first mover advantage will be huge since there would be so much catching up to do that they'll never make it in time.

>XSN
Rebrand of Stakewallet. Blocknet (rebrand of XCoin scam) also claimed to have this a few years ago.
Is the FTX token not a DEX or just derivatives?

Can you be more clear with what you are trying to say? From what I understand Blocknet is on-chain not on the layer 2.

It may be I have no idea - I had a big run in with Jasinlee and the litecoin miner scam back in the day which the PR guy from Blocknet defended. Dan was scamming people dumping XCoin when they said they wouldn't etc, & I never followed it after that.
The Stakecoin guys as I understand it are these guys bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5247216.0
How the hell you get labelled a scam on Bitcointalk I have no idea, quite the feat

Nash exchange uses an off-chain matching engine and their UI is pretty sweet for a dex. Solid pairs on there too, just missing volume but I see plenty of makers on there so...

Im sorry i don't seem to understand. What does Staked Wallet have to do with Stakenet (XSN)?

Where can I find information on this? Specifically the off-chain part?

From what I understand, POSW devs left and X9 took over.
Seems they use state channels. I'm not familiar with that. Any anons here know much about that? Pros/cons?

Ah well - that could be

Dex blue is fucking money. Gas fee to deposit and withdraw coins, but aside from that unlimited immediate trades

Forgot to mention that they source liquidity from all the big swap protocols as well (uni, kyber, bal)

It's how I acquired my pnk in the dip with no slippage

Look into unilayer. The presale oversold in less then 30 seconds this morning. Im pretty sure it's exactly what your looking for.

I think they did a token swap a while back and burnt the spare XSN that was minted but not swap. X9 seems very good, they helped litecoin integrate lightning from what i've heard.
Are they on-chain or use layer 2?
>Built on top of uniswap
So it's on-chain?

So does this make nash a hybrid DEX? I'm not the best with this stuff.

Stakenet's DEX can access any centralized exchange, through liquidity providers

Finally a decent discussion. Giving a bump, hopefully some smarter anons can share their knowledge.

Do you know anything about state channels? I want to have this thread compare all layer 2 options so I can find the best one.

How did you even find out about that?

All I can find is a Medium...

does nobody know about loopring.io/trade/LRC-USDT ?

I think loopring is on-chain.

Loopring is eth side only.
There’s several layer 2 solutions that are either/or bitcoin network or eth, but Stakenet is the only one integrating both.

Thanks wasn't aware. I made a mistake here

>off-chain matching engine
so it's a centralized exchange function? The only difference is it doesn't hold your keys - so how does it manage a trade you don't have a wallet set up for?

Hmmmm gonna have to research this more.

I think it's an interesting concept - and potentially more noob-friendly than stakenet (less commitment, no need to fund a wallet in an app to transact)

I do worry about lack of volume - seems they don't really have the ability to ensure trading pairs are available, in spite of their insistence that they appeal to arbitrageurs.

If I'm an arbitrator, what's the incentive for me to arb on a dex without volume? Sure, there's theoretically opportunity to make money, but if I can't do enough volume what's the point?

so... it's basically EtherDelta?
