Here's something I cut and paste from reddit: I think Coinbase and Binance will announce that they are integrating OMG network. The three biggest exchanges to use Tether are Bitfinex, Huobi and Binance. It makes no sense for Binance to not want to benefit from the same cheaper, faster and less congested transactions.

Just speculation. But, coinbase leaked they were going to use Tether one day before OMG launch and Tether integration announcement. The lines are being drawn for OMG network to be the L2 solution for all big exchanges.

We have Reddit bake off winner announcement to look forward to in late September. OMG in with a huge chance given their great wallet demo and already released mainnet. I would say we are favourites.

More long term. Toyota said they will be using OMG. Not sure in what capacity. Not only are they a car company though. But, one of the biggest financial services in Japan. And on that note. With Jun's recent tweets. I think the end game for OMG is to be integrated with future currency stable coins. Imagine a digital Yen, Euro or Pound being ran on OMG. Sounds farfetched now. Just wait. The world is going cashless and a new system is being built.

Yes, the skateboard sticker PnDers framed this as though OMG will capture the Tether trading volume on CNC, but in reality it's only about deposits and withdrawals.

As with Lightning Network, multiple transaction are currently needed to make it worthwhile. If you're someone who often deposits and withdraws USDT from Bitfinex, you can first deposit to OMG, then save on subsequent deposits + withdrawals if you stay in OMG, just like depositing to LN once to pay for multiple coffees can save fees.

This already breaks down as soon as other exchanges enter the equation, because they aren't in it yet. Though, yes, Huobi is expected to join soon, the PnDers are adding rumors on Binance and Coinbase.

So we would need to wait for multiple such integrations to become available, as well as API support so the traders can adapt their bots, as well as wallet integrations for users who don't care to switch to the OMG web wallet, and then a sufficient number of traders and other users need to become convinced and join.

This could pick up momentum if other exchanges and wallets follow quickly, but it could also follow the way of Lightning. In any case the successful scenarios will take quite a bit of time and likely allow for better prices to buy back in over the next few months.
