Thoughts on BLNK? After looking at the map, blink’s website, verbiage, etc, I believe culper’s report was a total hit piece. Also all previous hit stocks have rise. Tremendously with the exception of PUMP because of covid19.

i bought this entirely on accident after the report came out but its been doing well
Is there anyone here who's actually understands finances? I keep reading this part and I just don't fucking understand it. It says right there "Each stockholder of record on August 21 (so tomorrow at the market closing), 2020 will receive a dividend of four additional shares of common stock for each then-held share, to be distributed after close of trading on August 28, 2020. Trading will begin on a stock split-adjusted basis on August 31, 2020." So what will happen if you buy a share after 21 August but before 28 August? Logically you should get the split as well, this whole fucking sentence makes no sense to me. Why 21 August is some kind of a deadline?
At this point I wouldn't even be surprised if they were 690 EOY. Not saying they won't crash ever or with the rest of the market but yeah.

No idea. 2k is probably the psychological barrier. No one knows

The person who gets a share before the closing of August 21 will get the 4 additional shares as a one time dividend payment after the closing of Friday the 28th of August. On Monday August 31, trading will begin with 5 times the original amount of shares because of it. >Logically you should get the split as well Not necessarily because the announcement doesn't say that at all, it bases who will receive the 4 additional stocks on who was in possession of a stock of Tesla in the 21st of August. They won't care if that person traded it on the 26th he will still get the 4 additional shares
Noah Walker
Your shares are adjusted to the split ratio, which in Tesla's case is 4:1. This is true even if you buy between date of record and date of split adjusted trading.
The date of record is not important from your perspective as retail trader. There is no premium to be gained by buying before and holding through it.
how to find finance gf that does my accounting and economy for me and handles my riches
Jeremiah White
>Not necessarily Yes necessarily. If you own tesla shares overnight before date of split adjusted trading, your shares will be adjusted to the ratio in the morning. There is NO scenario in a stock split where shareholders somehow get screwed out of money in the way you're suggesting, no matter when they bought.
Joshua Gutierrez
Thanks Anons, so I will just hold all my shares as planned and then buy the post-split dip.
>Thoughts on BLNK I think it's an overhyped business whose stock price went up almost entirely due to success of NKLA/WKHS/other EV. A business of charger stations will be in competition will all other charging solutions put forward by EV OEMs and other charging startups, will generate little worthwhile IPR (as most OEMs can easily work on their own), and can realistically only win public contracts in the US, which somewhat limits their market. I think best case is that they partner or are bought out by an EV manufacturer. Moat likely is that they just exist as a result of heavy reliance on government contracts and subsidies, which doesn't make for a particularly interesting growth business.

I will invest in travel stocks, right after all the currently badly managed airlines, cruises and hotels go bust and some new ones take their place. So what the fuck was the point of that "21st August" mention? Why didn't they just write "You hold on 28th over the weekend, you get the split shares on 31st""

>So what the fuck was the point of that "21st August" mention? Why didn't they just write "You hold on 28th over the weekend, you get the split shares on 31st"" Idk why. Apple has something similar. But at least on apples website it clearly states you still get shares even after that one date but before the actual stock split. So at that point why do they even use all that mumbo jumbo when they could just say what you said
Jacob Martinez
Come on user, pls share.
Matthew Cook
That's some FUD bullshit, I'm not selling my shares for the next 10 years! Fuck the Jewish ticks.
>So what the fuck was the point of that "21st August" mention? They are legally required to disclose that date to the public. It has importance for brokers who need to arrange things for the split to happen but is not consideration shareholders need concern themselves with.
Also on date of split adjusted trading your holding may appear in your account a buggy way. This normally clears up in a few hours or a day. Don't panic if you see that.

Look at that massive gap up on Monday that doesn’t look priced in to you
