There's a lot of projects trying to be "ETH killers" obviously, including some which I concede might be better than Cardano, but I'm just betting on Cardano because it seems like the biggest name that will come up when people begin looking for an alternative. I like Charles's vision for a decentralized system where people vote to implement new things and have a treasury to fund it, not sure if Algorand has something like this

Anyone pledging to their pool is only delegating which increases that pools chances of hitting a block. If a pool commits fraud the only person who will be punished is the operator and not those staking
