the big problem is places like china and india. liberals never seem to get that point. even if the US and EU were completely green it wouldn't matter because like 2.6 billion people are being industrial age degenerates right now with no signs of stopping any time soon. they give zero fucks. and no one is going to stop them.
Someone answer question please how to into sectors on mystocks app

is netflix gonna get cancel cultured now for being pedos?

I answered in the old bread

You have no real market for pollution rights? Works great over here in the EU where you actually get a proper price mechanism to work on to indirectly make people pay for polluting, puts a market price on pollution and it does wonders for incentives for companies to invest in a reduction in pollution for a cost reduction
Jose Torres
Will UKOUSD Brent oil prices drop? I saw that shit spike like crazy this morning
Brayden Parker
Carbon Dioxide is not a pollutant. We are focusing on heavy metals and chemical dumps, not made up fairy tales designed to make money disappear up politicians assholes'. We have enough of an issue with the EPA destroying thousands of acres of land because they think they're so smart. Just look at what Barry The Messiah's EPA did to the Animas River.

Short boomers and short USD. Long tech. Long shiny boomer rocks. Long zoomer digital rocks.

>Carbon dioxide is not a pollutant Please do tell how is Carbon dioxide not a fucking pollutant in terms of air quality for humans because that's also polluting the air >Not wanting people and companies to pay for indirect externalities Retarded that you don't want to solve a market externality in an efficient way but rather just look away. The income generated from selling the carbon emission rights in a market setting can be used to lower taxes somewhere else, for example income taxes
Corporations do not pay taxes. Their consumers do when they buy those products marked up to pay that tax. Not sure why mainline voters fail to understand this decade after decade.
Are they back to Global Warming? I can't keep up. Last winter it was still Climate Change. I'll have to check again at Christmas.
Angel Ross
And should people not be held responsible for their actions by buying a product they know pollutes by compensating for a negative externality created by a polluting industry? Because this is a very efficient way of making people pay for polluting and allowing the market to price the right to pollute to put a proper price in pollution. Great incentive to become less polluting as a company if it were to allow you to attract new potential customers who care about that and offer a lower price if the investment in greener capital makes you more productive to the point where the benefit of not having to pay the right to pollute or somewhat less outweigh the cost of acquiring the new greener capital No one is denying that

Exciting Thursday! Usually Thursday tend to be green but we had a very unexpected green day after a sharp rug pull yesterday at around 11AM right after Apple crossed the $2 trillion evaluation!
Just woke up from my nap after market close, and about to order some Domino's to celebrate. What toppings should I get? Also, Tesla's leg up today was really a sight to behold! Personally I wrote 1DTE NVDA spreads on open as soon as I saw that NASDAQ futures recovered overnight from -0.8% to -0.2% or so. Thankfully it worked out and NVDA seems to be crabbing at $480-490 while IV gets crushed.
What are your plans for tomorrow? Any 0DTE shenanigans? How about moves for Monday? Personally, I'm not going to write Monday SPY spreads because the stimulus still hasn't passed. I feel like the market might react in a dumb way over a weekend with August ending and no stimulus bill in sight.
>Highest water level and rate of inflow in history >Inflow plateauing, water level expected to continue to rise for another week
>145m is the flood control level, anything above that is bad >150m and above causes cavitations to start from the massive horizontal pressure >We are already over 165m >170-175m is super danger zone, real possibility of dam failure >180m is where water will just spill over the top, and dam will definitely fail if that happens just due to basic physics, it's a gravity dam en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gravity_dam
>Outflows are hampered by silt/sediment getting trapped in the spillways, look at how the red line trends down every time they open it up more >They would need to bring it back down to 145m to even be able to de-silt, and that ain't happening anytime soon
>And the rain still comes
Homework for /smg/, if the dam does go China is of course fucked, but how fucked is the rest of the world when all those factories and other manufacturing goes bye bye overnight
My living standard will not lower 0.001% until India, China, and the African continent are where we already are right now. When they do that, you let me know.
Nolan Harris
Oops, I meant to say >Usually Thursdays tend to be RED instead of green.
All you're doing is discrediting yourself, mate. Nobody with an IQ above 80 would invest in a boomer qultist's reality denying delusions.
Christian Hernandez
You're living standards increase as theirs does as well. Also making sure a negative externality is dealt with is highly beneficial to you, life is not a zero sum game where their gain means our loss
Benjamin White
I'm bored. Care to discuss how you just want reasonable gun reform next?
Charles Hernandez
moving my TQQQ into QQQ for now because I fear
Grayson Cruz
>life is not a zero sum game It is, you're just not zooming out enough.
Colton Green
the Three Gorges Dam stuff feels like such a blue-ball situation people have been talking about it bursting for years now, and it just doesn't happen
Christopher Kelly
who here ready for the dark horse
Blake Harris
>It is >You're just not zooming out enough Did we lose because some countries have become highly productive and efficient in producing certain goods because we lost a few jobs as a result? Or did we gain quite significantly from that because it allowed us to do what we are most efficient and productive at? Or are you arguing for "bringing back jobs" which are a net drain on a countries wealth and income in every case.
Austin Wilson
We need reasonable gun reform. It should be written into Federal law that all commonly held small arms are protected under the 2nd Amendment, preempting all state AWBs. The machine gun registry should be reopened and AOW/SBR classes eliminated. This would save millions of dollars and cost no lives, because niggers don't care about gun laws anyways.
Also, global warming is real you dumb fucking cultist.
Give me one reason to not liquidate my entire $34k portfolio and go all in on BABA

you'll be good with those

I can believe that, the global warming thing, that is. Hell anymore we have just two seasons. Hot and mild winter. There is no fall or spring. No real ice or snow either. January used to be cold. Not anymore. Now you can typically walk out with a tee shirt and be ok.
Kevin Howard
Trump is actually gaining in the polls again and the elections haven't happened.
