when is the coinbase listing

thanks bro, I see opportunities and don't wanna fucking miss em like I did bitcoin

you could have jumped on eth or link too. That said, ocean seems like an amazing project. It basically makes many other projects like Menlo One obsolete.

i did jump at link. doubled my money cause I bought in at 8 and sold at 17. Put all that money into ocean

Pretty sure you made the right move. If you don't mind me asking, what made you so confident into Ocean?

I read the whitepaper for Chainlink, and combined with the oracle problem of finding a solid API between real data to blockchain data, it seemed like a match made in Heaven.

Ocean is the same principle but for data. Companies that are venturing into uncharted waters with new ventures don't have reliable information or understanding of the product they want to build. So, in order to conduct research, they either have to pay an absolute fortune for research companies who sell to them generic data, or they acquire it using the Ocean protocol from companies like Google, Facebook, Twitter etc (for social media, as an example). Google provides them with the information that they need (not in its entirety), by using the Ocean protocol to share that information in exchange for Ocean tokens (which is both way cheaper, and faster).

Essentially means companies can get their analytics from the big guys much faster and more effectively, and allows for companies like Google and Facebook to sell that data they've just got sitting around.

I'm not him but what made me confident is an article where I read something specific that got me excited, but I can't recall where I read it. Said something along the lines of thousands of something examples like this ready to go. Fuckin really annoys me that I don't know where I read it.

Isn't this just a shit version of RLC? Why would this go up?

Only half the supply released is the rest locked?

was it this one?

Is it going back down to .50?

No it’ll flux around 60c until it spikes to $1

yeah so there's going to be 1.3 billion Ocean tokens available post token swap at 2100 utc (0621 at time of writing this).

However, the circulating supply will remain the same at 350 million.

RLC is bad compared to what Ocean is going to achieve

I thought it was but I read it a couple of times to try to find a sentence that sounded similar to what I read and it's not there. Whatever I read made it sound like there is a lot of need for OCEAN and that once everything is setup it will be like opening a floodgate.

Why?

Because Ocean is designed to essentially monetize company data.

If I, a company, have all this information and analytics about a tech product, or any product for that matter, it's worthless for me to hold if I've already made it in that industry.

Essentially, if some other company wants to know what a good product looks like, i.e. some shitty silicon valley startup, I can sell them a select part of that data that would be useful to them, and profitable to me.

Both parties benefit, and Ocean is the means in which that data is sent across in high security, tamper-proof, high throughput means (using blockchain as an information highway).

also sorry for retard reddit spacing, just hard to type my thoughts out in a single block of text in this box.

Okay that sounds very generic though, there are literally hundreds of projects that could do this. What's so special about Ocean?

Sophisticated scam like chainlink. I'll wait til I see it on Facebook

Because you can sell your data to these companies as a private citizen. You give away your shit to companies for free, and then they profit off it.

Ocean is trying to make your data monetized so that you can sell it to them, and like BAT, monetize your shit just from using their services. Great concept, and it's only gonna get picked up in the DeFi sphere alongside BAT and LINK

Also, I kinda fucked up the last part. Just search up Ocean Compute-to-Data

RLC already does this plus all of the other shit it does kek

Well that is totally different to RLC's mission then, why do people compare Ocean and RLC?

Why not...uh... I don’t know, have a company pay you for the info they want (like they already do) and then you fuckinf email them the data or information they want (like they already do) instead of using an “ocean token” to purchase it so it can be sent via some secret defi network ? (Which no one needs or uses) .
