Blockchain is a difficult technology to build at scale. I liken it to constructing a skyscraper. If an engineering firm came to you and told you that they got "99% of the calculations correct" to build a skyscraper, would you hire them? It is no different in cryptocurrency. The vast majority of teams are not capable of getting a scaled blockchain ONE HUNDRED PERCENT correct. What makes OMG different than any other crypto EVER is that IT ACTUALLY FUCKING WORKS. There is literally no precedent for a WORKING blockchain technology operating at scale. Every single crypto boom in the history of this space has been pure speculation. OMG will be the FIRST moon mission with real life transactions behind it. The Plasma architecture they have been researching and building since 2015 (not 2017 when the white paper was published) is OPTIMIZED for the first and only use case of blockchain that will actually be used by everyone in the world -- simple value payments, agnostic as to currency type. ETH 2.0 will not make an optimized financial transaction layer network obsolete, it will enhance it.
