Scams are stealthy and strategic, you can expect them to be able to hide in any kind of language - but the other side of that coin is that being straightforward isn't any more exploitable than other ways of speaking, and offers the benefit of being the only path to true honesty. Don't be taken by professional mannerisms, but don't go trusting anyone who can't even muster something as simple as professionalism either.
Also the ORBI threads were full of performative moon behavior of some of the worst sort.
