Is there actually a wage slave position that is good? One that pays enough and doesn't grind your dick into the dirt? Possibly even work from home? They seem very few and far between.

>Asks which job is a good job to be a slave at.

Fucking state of Zig Forums.

Kill yourself, faggot.

programming, but comfy level varies wildly between companies you're hired at.

This pic is so satisfying.

government jobs

get a coding job at a well established company, one that altready has a ton of clients and all that ever happens is "our client wants a new button here user can you fix that" and that is your job for the whole week. Had a job like that for a year or so but went back to school.

Government maybe.

Being slave isn't fun, not supposed to be. Encourages you to not be valueless.

UPS drivers get paid pretty well, the work is work but it won't physically and mentally destroy you.

i have no idea how anyone could enjoy programming. i have a degree in applied math and work as an accountant. i know "how to code" but i tried teaching myself web dev and gave up after a few weeks. 99% of it is fighting with some shitty framework written by an HIV+ tranny to continually reinvent the wheel. it makes accounting look like fun by comparison.

I love watching people cook on the wok. I wish I had one.

Friend works at apple. If you don't mind the liberal "free think" atmosphere, they literally just stand in a comfortable store all day get paid decently, during this furlough they are still getting paid to stay home and maybe do some team meating calls, 15% off apple stock, and the worst they have to deal with is some old person who thinks their email got hacked because they are still using cox mail

>99% of it is fighting with some shitty framework
yes but because of this reason you can also literally do fuck all all day and say you where trying to grasp the framework and still get paid.

This.
Working for the US Gov (DoD) 5 years now. I will never go back to the private sector.

Yes, you tried one tiny aspect of a field for a few weeks, so it's 100% shit. Actual retard or LARPing. Stick to your accounting, one of the most monotonous jobs available.

Not something you'll want long term, you'll be so bored you'll just kys. Being bored at work drains your energy as much as being productive.

its fake btw

welfare queen

Pretending to be busy is much more stressful than actually being busy. Time slows to a crawl in the former

security guard

I'm a junior doctor at an surgical department. The pay is shit, you're expected to accept whatever work hours your boss gives you and I never get payed for overtime.

>one of the most monotonous jobs available.
yeah i guess the upside is that i can make your life a living hell since we're all beheld to the almighty shekel

Healthcare can be okay. I'm an xray tech, and I have great job security. I don't mind the business at the moment, I don't want to get bored, but if I was exhausted and just wanted a cushy job I could find some outpatient doctor's office where you do like 8 xrays a day at most.

You can get a proper wok for under ten bucks man, it's a Chinese cooking utensil you think they pay more than that?

???

yeah but most people don't have a natural gas or propane line on their home capable of supplying 100k BTUs, much less the ventilation to properly cycle the heat/air.

As a NAF overseas, I can say I've worked for less and was expected to do more, but fucking kill me if I have to work with conniving, bickering dependas. Also, if you're not prior military or in the family, you'll never get promoted or get a GS job.

What do you do?

Isn't coding becoming a worse position as time goes on? This is what I've heard from people in the field but they could just be meming.

These are wage slave positions.

I should add-- if you're not black, brown or a woman too. Most directors at this base are black and everyone in HR is a woman... let's just say there's a backlog of files that goes back 10 years and shit that happens every year comes as a surprise no one is prepared for. Also, turnover is insane, not even due to PCSing, wives hop jobs month to month wreaking havoc princess parties everywhere they go.

>notice a "concerning trend" in the P&L
>bring it up to senior management
>support it with confusing spreadsheets and narrative
>hell rains down on those responsible

Here in Spain we don't do shit
9 months without working. Thank you Corona-chan

They all cost at least 8 hours a week. You are always, always, limited by the amount of hours in a day and your physical endurance as an employee.

I unironically like my teaching job. The worst part is the time you waste grading shit

Summer vacation, lots of breaks, snow days. If you stomach being a morning person you are done with your day early (unless your a new teacher and you need to develop lesson plans). Coaching can also be fun and you get to talk about things you find interesting for a living

Downside lack of bros for colleagues and insane parents

I don't like how people like Kenji focus so much on wok hei and how stir fries don't taste as good without super hot gas flames. My mom uses her wok to cook home style meals and avoids making "restaurant food" because she knows she can never match their wok hei. There's a lot of shit you can do with a wok. It's not all just smoky stir fries that require a smoking hot pan and big gas flames to combust aerosolized oil.
